An amazing little unit, so beautifully and tastefully furnished with all the amenities you need. It’s at the far end of the owners garden with a stream separating it from their home. Very peaceful and relaxing.

The dinner was fantastic as was the breakfast. Like having real milk in room for tea. Loved the very large shower in the room.

Room very comfortable and well appinted, breakfast excellent, service second to none. Dinner in "The Avenue" fussy, over-presented and hugely expensive. Quality of food was good but would have been far more appreciated with less "design" and more food.

Stockbridge has a variety of lovely independent shops, cafes and pubs. There is free parking along the length of the village and lovely walks across the water meadows by the river Test. It's a great base for visiting some amazing gardens like Mottisfont, Houghton Lodge and Longstock. Also an easy 20 minute drive into Winchester which is a lovely day out.

The trout streams running at side of pavement are a delight, especially after dark when the trout can be seen swimming around.

A ribbon town over various tributeries of the River Test and the River itself. A lot of shops to facilitiate the very expensive chalk stream trout fishing, and other outdoor activities. Everyone we spoke to were very pleasant. Interesting gardens nearby (Houghton Lodge) and also the Leckworth (John Lewis) estate.

Overall it was satisfactory but it would have been better to have had 2 chairs in the double bedroom, rather than one person having to sit on the bed! Mayfly room above kitchen subject to appreciable noise from the kitchen equipment when being operated. Instructions for using internet unclear.

And when you write a review pointing out to the landlord that the promised breakfast never arrived....does he apologise ? No...does he do or say anything...No.
His food is excellent, but if I'm promised breakfast and he's sleeping off a hangover after a "lock in" with locals, well frankly that's not my problem....I paid for breakfast, you gave me nothing.....facts....
My suggestion to other travellers, Saturday dinner is very very good , don't expect breakfast.
This was the best place we stayed in. The dinner and breakfast were amazing. The food was high quality and tasted delicious! We loved eating in their dinning room, it had so much charm. Our rooms were delightful! The room above the pub where me and my husband slept was the best of the four rooms we had. My children had three rooms out the back in a separate building and I would have preferred to have them in the same building above the pub. That being said they were very conformable and had a great time.
It was my first time at this property, and I will be back.
The first thing is the service that the Greyhound on the Test Hotel provides - It was a great experience from check-in to check-out, and everything in between.
The food was great (evening meal and breakfast were both lovely), and they also had a good selection of local real ales.
Very nice bedroom and ensuite, and very clean.
I definitely recommend.
The Three Cups is a really lovely place. I arrived late, very hungry, after the kitchen had stopped taking orders but they were still happy to make me some food! The room was lovely, the food delicious and the staff were very attentive and friendly. I love Stockbridge and have stayed there many times. This was my first stay in the Three Cups but I will certainly stay there again. Thank you.
A lovely old pub/hotel. Really nice, tastefully decorated room. Extensive menu of excellent food. Extensive menus are rare in my experience. Fantastic veggie breakfast. Beautiful old village full of thatched cottages. Good parking. Good value. Near to quiet walks. River Test 300 yards away. Very peaceful. I shall return.
Really nice hotel/pub, located less than a mile from, the army air Corp museum, so location was excellent, stayed in a single ensuite room, with very comfortable bed, room was well appointed, clean with what looked like a recently refurbished bathroom, food was also rather nice, staff were happy, smiley, and helpfull
The hotel was very busy and service at breakfast was understandably slow. Otherwise, despite it being a wedding party and thus little time spent at the hotel, it was a very enjoyable stay. I'm not a particular fan of nouvelle cuisine which seems to emphasise presentation over substance but dinner was delicious.
Delightful old Inn in Stockbridge with parking. Comfortable rooms with good shower, friendly staff and wonderful food plus live music. Our cocker spaniel was made very welcome.
Room was good, with decent beds and linen, nice bathroom products. Welcome was good without being over bearing. No problem about securely storing bicycles
