Fantastic accommodation - spacious, clean and comfortable. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very.welcome by the owners and a wee black cat. Breakfast was included - great coffee :)

My four-night stay at King’s Park Hotel in Rutherglen was a remarkable experience. Beyond Glasgow's captivating allure and picturesque vistas, the hotel stood out with its unique charm and the exceptional service provided by the staff.
Their thoughtful gestures made my 50th birthday trip, which I had shared with the hotel, even more memorable. Upon my arrival, the surprise room upgrade, the fruit platter, and the heartfelt card were all testament to their commitment to making every guest feel special.
The hotel's clean and spacious room provided a comfortable and relaxing stay. Its convenient location, just a short drive from the town, made it easy for me to explore the city at my own pace.
The room was big and comfortable, with a full bathroom, bathtub, and everything.
I am deeply grateful to Patricia, the receptionist, for her exceptional service. Her proactive and courteous responses to my queries and invaluable assistance in planning my trip made a difference in my stay.
Another big shoutout to Gary and Caroline, who left the platter in my room and made the card, but not only that, I made sure I had a clean, safe space and made sure I had the most fantastic breakfast and dinner every day. Their attention and kindness will not be forgotten.
I will be staying at this hotel again in the future.

We stayed in the Strathaven as a stop-off between the Scottish Highlands and Yorkshire on a very cold snowy night. The hotel was busy with a Christmas function and other diners but the welcome was attentive and very friendly.
The room was warm and welcoming and a very good standard for staying with our dog. We had room service which was lovely and a great early breakfast. The staff were really chatty and helpful.
A very good choice.

Certainly a worth while place to stay.
Certainly a worth while place to stay. However, the impersonal approach I felt was rather unwelcome for a B&B. If you wish to present yourself as a B&B, it is my assumption there is a personal approach and personal touch to it. Not in this case. I regard this as a missed opportunity.

Great value, lovely food, not pretentious. Well cooked.
Great value, lovely food, not pretentious. Well cooked. I could have done with a bit more toast with the liver parfait, but actually it was probably enough! Service was particularly worth an accolade. Very friendly.

Taal Restaurant.
Taal Restaurant. We ate there two nights and the food was superb. A pleasant area to walk around. Exploring Strathaven further it’s a much pleasanter and interesting place than on arrival. Next visit we will explore a little further.
Really lovely hosts an this great B&B in a quiet rural location just outside Strathaven. Easy to find with a good signpost on the main road. Well decorated and provisioned rooms. Mine was a family room upstairs with windows at front and back, which you can open to get air through the room when it is hot. Excellent powerful shower. Walk in wardrobe. Comfortable carpet. Comfortable beds. Sofa and armchair. The full cooked breakfast was excellent.
Great location based on our trip. Hotel staff attentive & welcoming. Restaurant, bar & outdoor areas modern & clean. Waiting staff mostly excellent with good menu choice. Wedding party added to a great atmosphere and added to our experience. Room was a single so ‘snug’ but perfectly acceptable. En-suite was well appointed & modern. Would recommend this hotel for the price & facilities.
The breakfast choice was incredible. The price was very very low for a luxury hotel which included a fabulous breakfast. The staff were very friendly, kept our bikes indoors in a safe place, and lent us a usb plug. Decaf coffee sachets and extra milk in the rooms. Massively exceeded expectations for the price paid!
The bedroom was very big and spacious and the shower in the en-suite was fabulous.
Breakfast was delicious and the hostess friendly and interesting.
Ideal alternative to the hotel we were attending a wedding at . Not too far away snd the hostess booked the taxi for us.
Open the doors on the lodge and the view is private, not overlooked and absolutely stunning over a valley with a river at the bottom. nice to support a small business rather than a big hotel chain…! set in 22 acres - just stunning.
Fantastic place to stay with well-appointed, clean rooms and a great host. The breakfast service was excellent. A really great alternative to chain hotels.
