Our stay was exceptional. The room was spacious, comfortable & well-equipped. The view from the window was something else. The hosts could not have been more thoughtful or helpful, they even packed a breakfast/snack goodie bag on one of the mornings we had to get away early & couldn’t stay for breakfast. We couldn’t fault our stay, would highly, highly recommend.

Tarbert is a wonderful, welcoming village with great amenities and friendly local folk - it's a real community.
The views over the harbour and out over the Loch
are stunning.
The Moorings is a wonderful B&B which I highly recommend.
The Anchorage Bistro is an amazing wee restaurant which again is a must but do book to avoid disappointment
Plenty of free parking in the village and the ferry to Portavadie provides an alternative option to the road journey

Tarbert is a nice place, Knap house spoilt it for us, the room and bathroom were ok, but there was no cleaning of room, no automatic cleaning of room, regardless of how long you stayed your room was only cleaned when you left. There was half a toilet roll in the bathroom which had obviously been used by someone else.

A lovely place, a lovely area.
A lovely place, a lovely area. Great service and food options from The Deli, overlooking the harbour. The evening meal at The Starfish was ok, but the organisation, attention to detail and service wasn’t ok.

Tarbert is a lovely little town with plenty of shops for food and other supplies, without being a busy shopping centre. There are great walks around the area, and if you can travel a bit there are loads of places to visit, or you could just sit and watch the world go by in the harbour!

Picturesque on a sunny day .
Picturesque on a sunny day . Some shabby areas but a beautiful harbour. Friendly people including local fishermen who were happy to chat about their catch . Some good restaurants and delicious choice of sea food .
We loved everything about our stay here. Our room (Arran) faced the harbour/marina and we parked just along from hotel (free). Owners Mark and Aly are a lovely, friendly, helpful couple and a great example of B & B hosts who care about their guests. Aly’s Mexican porridge has to be tried, definitely something I will try to do at home. Everything you could want for breakfast is on offer and nicely presented. This would definitely be the place we would stay if we ever go back to Tarbert.
We came to Tarbert with our dog to start walking the Kintyre Way. Fortunate enough we found "Starfish Rooms" for the first night. Prime location close to harbour and just next to lots of Restaurants. Small but nice room in a converted old building, partially visible natural stone walls. Personal welcome by owner with plenty of advise and tips. Easy parking. There are several choices to have breakfast next to this accommodation (Room only)
The hosts are fantastic in this whimsical B&B located right on the Main Street across from the harbour. We stayed in the Isle of Eigg room which was very comfortable and bright. The private bathroom is across the hall which was easy. Great location and the breakfast including the Mexican pudding is to die for.
A very different type of accommodation to a normal hotel. Room was very comfortable with brilliant views as your on the water. Plenty of coffee & tea available. Very cosy. Found everyone in Tarbert very friendly especially in the Corner House Bar.
Beautiful home right on the edge of the village of Tarbert, with friendly and welcoming hosts. My bed was comfortable, bathroom and shower were quite nice, breakfast was delicious. Excellent and peaceful place to stay!
Needed a hotel with availability at the last second due to a nightmare with the ferry. They had space and the price was right. Everything was great except there was only ONE outlet in the room.
Really wonderful retreat right in the middle of Tarbert. I just loved this cozy little room. Hugh is a fine host.
Comfortable bed, good shower, adequate clothing storage. Quiet little hotel.
An excellent and spacious room, with sitting area as well as bedroom and a great view over the loch/harbour at Tarbert. Very clean and well furnished. Good bolt hole in rainy weather!
the location , overlooking the fishing boats heading back to the harbour, a stones throw from both the Portavadie ferry in one direction and into Tarbert Main Street in the other.
Waking up in the morning to the tide being nearly ewindow level. Being so close to the pubs and restaurants. The barge experience was so different and great
Fantastic, comfortable cottage in convenient location. Very pet friendly. Welcoming and helpful hosts. Lovely meals at Stonefield Castle Hotel next door.
Spacious, comfortable accommodation in a peaceful location with access to Stonefield Castle grounds for forest and shoreline walks. Dogs were very happy!
