The warm Scottish welcome from Sarah was appreciated.
Very good true continental breakfast.
Location was great - a perfect stopover for us.
Excellent communication re "getting there", and dining options.

Breakfast was good but had the smallest amount of beans ever .
Great location ,evening meals quality if a little expensive but I suppose that comes with quality
Situated beside the picturesque Loch Maree, this hotel was built in 1872 and once hosted Queen Victoria as a guest.

The location is ok, but they don’t have the facility and staff needed to run such a hotel there. When we checked in they extended a notice issued by the local authority not to use the pipe water not even to brush teeth as it is contaminated with some bacteria. This was never informed before checkin, or not arranged any alternative for lunch, dinner or breakfast. And when we tried the restaurants around the hotel travelling within 15 Kms, none accepted us as we didn’t had any prior booking. So the place itself is very limited and the hotel also is very limited in facilities. Basically this place is suitable for bikers and their short stays, that’s what we could understand. The property is heavily less staffed and there is no ownership for the property. Beautiful building and location but heavily mismanaged.

The house and grounds were the outstanding part of our stay. The house oozes character and history. Perfect for a Highland stay.
Felix and Sarah our hosts were friendly and helpful, a special mention to Phillipa who went the extra distance to make our stay perfect.
If you want a true Highland experience then a stay at the Torridon estate will not disappoint.

Wanted to check out the town gallery to see if they sold the Torridon estates artists work. People were inside, eating or such, and it said OPENED but the doors were locked. We were on our way out of town around 11:00 am. Sad..we were in the mood to buy and to have a hot drink! Doesn’t say much for the community! Also, on our way into town, the night before, 2 people were sitting out front of the local store or restaurant and we had our car top down and waved! They just stared at us! Not too friendly!

This is no ordinary accommodation as one is staying in a family home which is being developed by the owners. The bedrooms are well renovated with comfortable beds. No tv which did not bother us. Instead, the house is peaceful.

We called ahead to Torridon stores and placed a grocery order. Jo, at the stores, was most helpful and provided most of what we needed. The rest we picked up at Tesco in Inverness. There is another useful store at Sheildaig.
We had excellent meals and service at the ‘Bo and Muc’, ‘The Walked Garden’ at Applecross, ‘Kishorn Seafood Bar’ at Kishorn.
Ben View was perfect for a family get together with four generations spread out through the house.
It is difficult to imagine finding a place that could offer better, ever-changing, views.

Torridon is simply one of the best places if you want to decompress and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The scenery is both dramatic and very beautiful, but also extremely peaceful and calming. I would love to visit this place at any time of the year (if it's accessible)

We only stayed one night whilst on the NC 500.
We only stayed one night whilst on the NC 500. Would be nice to stay longer but quite pricey for a B and B. We ate at Torridon Inn 4 miles away, worth the journey , alternative would be further away. Make sure you book somewhere to eat before travelling.
Surrounding area is stunning.
Torridon is a small Hamlet and quite secluded so take provisions. We arrived on a Sunday and the cafe was closed.
The cottages would be a good option for a number of days so no need to eat out.
The house was a grand mansion built in 1875, undergoing extensive renovation. The continental Breakfast was served in the room and was very nice. The Service friendly and accommodating. The bedrooms were clean, tidy and the beds comfortable. The house and the
whole experience was very different from the norm we would expect at a B n B, but, that doesn't mean that we didn't find the experience enjoyable, because we did, with the host very friendly and warm.
The estate is a magnificent property and we enjoyed the spacious room with a view. On arrival, we were greeted by a wild stag at the garden and it set our mood well. Felix the host was very helpful all the way and we had a wonderful and comfortable time at Torridon Estate. A bonus to our stay was we had breakfast served at the room where we could take our time to eat and enjoy the room a bit more, in pajamas.
The location of the accommodation is terrific. It's located on the edge of the loch in a very scenic setting. We were greeted by the very pleasant and friendly owner who explained some of the reasoning behind the general state of the place. It's clearly a project that still has some way to go. We did have breakfast provided in our room and it was excellent.
very atmospheric, big old building very different from standard hotels. Esoteric. Big comfortable bed and the room was warm due to local heaters. Breakfast was served on a tray to the room. It turned out to be excellent and varied. Tucked away location at the end of long woodland drive. it felt like we had entered a Murder Mystery Weekend. Good Wi-Fi
The hostel is a great base to go hiking in torridon and the surrounding areas. The people who work there are friendly and gave some great suggestions on what hikes to do based on one's fitness levels and goals. The common lounge was amazing - gave a very luxury vibe to an otherwise good, clean hostel (which exceeded my expectations)
Breakfast was provided in room and was very welcome.
We were pleased to have the opportunity to stay in the estate house, a property full of character and the owner's home.
It was not typical hotel/b&b accommodation but all the better for that.
We had everything we needed in this fantastic location
Had a lovely welcome from Sarah. Loved the estate. The grounds were wonderful, exploring them was the best part of Torridon. The house has a lot of character and felt like we were staying in a national trust home.
Staff were so lovely. Lots of space, large lounge, big dinning room and kitchen. We used a little snug by reception to play cards with family in evening. Mrs lovely. Location amazing.
We loved Torridon State. Hoasted by a lovely family, beautiful location, spacious bedrooms, great shower and lovely breakfast to the room in the morning. I would for sure come back
Large Manor House down a secluded road. Our room was large with a lovely sitting area and table for our breakfast which was brought to us. Breakfast was fresh and perfect.
Absolutely gorgeous /perfect location. Well equipped with everything you may need. Bright and spacious - location was excellent for exploring Torridon mountains and area
