Did the job, cute wee room above a traditional Cumbrian pub. Great place to stay if you also want to enjoy some real ales and Cumbrian food. The staff were all lovely and it had good heating (not always the case in these parts). The breakfast the next day was tasty and served in front of a roaring fire.

Fabulous location, out of the way from the main bustle of Coniston but walking distance for everything. Lovely and quiet with friendly accommodating hosts. Breakfast was brilliant, very tasty, using fresh local ingredients and nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend to anyone looking for comfortable accommodation whether to relax or explore the walks and scenery

Breakfast was excellent, order is placed the previous night, great idea as no wastage. Had the king size room which had a scrummy duvet which we needed as it was chilly outside. Bed was comfy. Location was a few minutes walk into the pretty village of Hawkshead with a couple of pubs and other small shops, the pubs get booked quick for evening meals. A great stay in all.
