The location was perfect for where we needed to be in Longthorpe. The lovely green spaces allowed you to feel you were in the countryside . The staff were most helpful and efficient even when we arrived at 1am ! The sports centre and swimming pool were an added bonus

Everything about the hotel was excellent, the room, the staff, and the food. We were recommended this hotel and it certainly came up to our expectations.

Friendly staff who everything they could to make us welcome. Beautiful gourmet food made with local produce. My husband thought the batter on his fish was the best he had ever had and he is very particular. Beautiful porridge at breakfast. Lovely English breakfast. Happy atmosphere in bar. Beer nicely kept. Some good beers on draft. Good coffee. Lovely view of field with Shetland ponies. Church with gold chiming clock. Bank of daffodils. Quintessentially English. We look forward to our next stay there.

Ufford is a beautiful, peaceful village, full of interesting buildings. We enjoyed a stroll round on an earlier visit in the summer but it was dark this time when we arrived, although you could still sense the atmosphere.
Lots of places to visit nearby but nice to come back to the White Hart in Ufford afterwards.
I think the White Hart is the only place to eat.

Pleasant village, well signposted with some interesting old stone barns converted into homes. The church has an amazing vantage point on top of a steep hill, but a loud clock which rings the hour all night as well as day! There is a village hall, but I didn't notice any other facilities such as a shop. Popular with cyclists because of the hill climbs I believe.

Ufford is a small, beautiful and interesting village.
Ufford is a small, beautiful and interesting village. It is very quiet and we could have had some pleasant walks had we been staying longer. It is in a very rural setting, not even the distant sound of traffic.
It is only a 15 minute drive from the town of Stamford which is also very pleasant and interesting. We had a lovely stroll through the park on our way back to Ufford after eating in Stamford.
The White Hart is a very popular, historic pub with a very pleasant lounge, garden room and stone outbuildings converted into bedrooms. The village is handy for Stamford, Burghley House and Park, John Clare's Cottage at Helpston and not far from Flag Fen Archaeological Park. They don't provide dinner every day and the hotel contacted us to warn us of this fact in plenty of time for us to make alternative arrangements. The room was decorated and cleaned to a high standard.
The building is an old village pub with various outbuildings, which has been sympathetically converted and furnished to a high standard. Our room (superior double) was spacious and comfortable. There were local magazines, and a history of the village, including the hotel, in our room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, and reasonably priced. Great breakfast - I had the vegetarian full English, husband had poached eggs.
Tasteful decor in cottagie style, clean room with enough storage and mirrors and windows to open. Good, bathroom with plenty of hot water.Cooked English breakfast was of a very good standard with nice tea and coffee. Marmalade available.Staff very welcoming and polite in breakfast room.Didnt try evening menu but this looked good and availability of a delivery pizza from the hotel's kitchen was useful to know for the future.
Ufford is a super wee village...Good access to Burghley and Stamford. The staff were excellent and food delicious. The room would have benefitted from a full length mirror and the shower was a little quirky! One small point...I chose a small Sunday roast, which was itemised correctly on the bill, then charged in full!
It was a shame about the room. Small, stuffy and the bathroom was in need of renovation. The hotel/pub itself was pleasant, with restaurant and bar and location. Staff were fine.
