Quirky, characterful listed building and large room & bathroom size. Great breakfast and warm/friendly host. Evening food in the restaurant which is part of the hotel looked very good and certainly the best quality in the area.

Property is excellent with all facilities you need for a long weekend or longer. Appreciated the very sunny courtyard to eat outside. Even has washing line in the sun! Parking immediately outside the front door. Well located to visit all areas of Suffolk on your doorstep. And a superb pub for evening dinner 20 mins walk away. Hosts were very helpful and responsive.

Very helpful and thoughtful hosts in Steve and Simon. Great breakfast options. Very comfortable and well designed bedroom. Very thoughtful sensor night lights placed along the corridor/steps into the private bathroom. Well stocked tea. coffee etc. supplies in the bedroom topped up daily. Steve offered to take our bags both up to and down from our bedroom which was much appreciated (see stairs comment below).

It is a glorious location in the middle of the park and conveniently close to Southwold and other places of special interest. The room we stayed in (Southwold) was spacious and full of character with its over-arching beams. It was also well equipped with generous storage space and excellent plumbing.
