Amazing location, really close to the train station and a local shop, lovely woodlands nearby and an absolutely beautiful room! Staff was very welcoming. Sent us directions by text as we journeyed up to ensure that we didn't miss the turn into the property (which is not that easy to spot) - made us a pot of tea on arrival - and had whisky available as a nightcap in the drawing room for free. House itself is large and with eclectic collections of antiques on show. Situated in its own grounds and so a pretty quiet location.

Friendly helpful staff. Great location. Bus outside hotel on main road to Edinburgh. Train 30 minutes walk for Glasgow. Food was good. Garden & grounds excellent. Good size room. Good shower but bathroom was a bit small but usable.
