The food portions for our evening meal where very generous and it was very good value, the pies really are award winning.
The hotel itself had a lovely creaky old feel to it, and was very welcoming, being 800 years old!

Skies' call was perfectly located for our overnight stay as we could visit Bletchley Park over 2 days, rather than having to put it all into 1 day. It was wonderfully comfortable and quiet with both rooms we booked having plenty of space and the lovely touches that bring immediate comfort. The breakfast was excellent and covered all our tastes and our hosts were friendly and happy to enter into conversation about the B&B and the local area, as well as the lovely personal touches in the house. We also enjoyed meeting their lovely dogs!
Set amid beautiful countryside, this village pub with excellent restaurant and popular bar is just off the B4032 between Winslow and Leighton Buzzard

The weekend we were there coincided with the farmers market on the Sunday, which was lovely to experience.
We visited Hogshaw Farm locally, and then went onto The Canal Museum, Stoke Bruerne and had a canal ride and ice-cream, visiting NT Stowe gardens the next day.

We only drove through Winslow itself on our journey, but it looked like a lovely place, and another time we would love to stop and explore. There seemed to be plenty of pubs where we coukd get a meal out if needed but we were attending Towersey festival so we were able to buy meals on the site anyway.

Pubs were lovely with great food & drink.
We thought there's no way our parents could have stayed at the bell due to poor health and age as far too many uneven floors and too man stairs plus too many nooks and crannys to get to the rooms. Great location for Silverstone and Buckingham

Had a lovely Indian meal - 3 minutes walk away in the square.
Didn't have time to look around in daylight unfortunately as we were visiting Bletchley Park.

Small town which merits an hour or so of walking.
Small town which merits an hour or so of walking. Market square with good antiques shop. Seventeenth Century Baptist Chapel is remarkable for its beauty and preservation. Recommend The Bell for accommodation.
The cottage is beautiful and filled with period features, both bedrooms were tastefully decorated, each with their own bathrooms. We had access to most of the house, including the pretty walled garden. Geoff was a lovely host and we were made really welcome. The location of the property was perfect too, right in the centre of Winslow but still very peaceful. Our puppy was also made very welcome.
Although the English breakfast was good it isn’t kept hot unfortunately. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and had a similar experience last time. Feel this problem needs to be addressed. Fried eggs are available on request.
The evening meal was excellent and in comparison very hot. Very good choice and reasonable priced as was our bottle of white wine!
Hosts Ian and Rosie very welcoming and friendly, not forgetting Dolly the little dog .
Lovely location, room very clean with everything you need . Microwave, kettle , fridge, hairdryer, toiletries ect .Seating area outside for guests , beautiful stars on a clear night .
Also secure parking for motorbikes.
This was our forth stay and will be going back .
I was attracted by the age of the property and location and wasn’t disappointed. Absolutely stunning. The village of Winslow is beautiful and so friendly.
Jeff is a fabulous host who is incredibly friendly and wonderful to chat to. He’ll go out of his way to make your stay perfect. He is also quite the domestic goddess 😃
Absolutely perfect. Working away is always difficult to find a match to what you have at home. However the comfort and more importantly the peace and quiet is key to a good night sleep and this is exactly what I had. Would highly recommend the accommodation. Also superb valve as well compared to other hotels in the area.
Room was very good and the pub itself lively and obviously popular with local clientele. Plenty of space to sit quietly if wished. Location in the centre of a small Buckinghamshire town is very convenient and a few good local eateries provide an opportunity to sample alternative venues if wanted.
The hotel was very nice. We had booked a double room but we’re kindly given the apartment. It was very clean and spacious . The evening meal was fantastic. The staff are all so helpful and friendly. Overall we enjoyed our stay in this charming olde worlde hotel. Thank you.

Wow - what a great pub/hotel, much bigger than I expected. Everyone really helpful, friendly & great food + location. I'll be back! Lovely village also for a weekend away.
