All the people we have met were very easy to get in touch and to get help or just a little chitchat
The food in the pub (breakfast and dinner) was incredible good
We even got an breakfast “bag”, because we had to leave early

Great location in complete peace and quiet which was exactly what we needed. Very comfortable cosy bed in large bedroom with adjoining bathroom and lovely breakfast. Relaxed friendly staff. Lovely walks from the front door. Great value.

lovely and friendly village. Cafe, shop, garage, pub an so much more. Also only 10 min drive from Tavistock or out onto the moor. We only spent a couple of days exploring the local area, but managed to fill every minute with museums, local attractions, city walk and so much more. If you want a stay with everything you need in walking distance from your door. Or you want to explore the moor and local towns, this is the perfect location. Dog friendly and wonderfully tranquil. highly recommend.

Weather was atrocious, but that just showed Dartmoor at its bleak and brooding best, stayed at the East Dart Inn in Postbridge, wonderful staff and accommodation. The room and facilities were very good. Lacked a little information in the room in my experience. Friendly staff except for one lady who I think was in charge. The food was ok as I had an evening meal there. Good selection of beers and drinks. Lots of character and outdoor seating. I would have rated much higher but for the attitude of 1 member of staff. Dousland is right on the edge of Dartmoor and Burrator...
Dousland is right on the edge of Dartmoor and Burrator reservoir. The villages nearby are also beautiful with walks on your doorstep such as Bere Ferrers . Tavistock is also nearby. The pubs such as The Burrator Arms are The Royal Oak are welcoming and serve great food.

The village of Buckland Monachorum is just outside Yelverton. Yelverton is no great shakes but Buckland Monachorum is a pretty village with a really good local pub serving pub food of a very high standard. During our stay, which was at the end of lockdown, the pub provided us with takeaway meals which was a real treat.SusanUnited Kingdom

However, the main reason I would strongly recommend the property is the owner Nicky. She provided an excellent service and really could not do enough for us. She is very friendly and cooks a wonderful breakfast. Bearing in mind she has recently taken over this property, and busy making the property even better, she was always there to help or have a chat.
