An immaculate property in an ideal location for our business in Yeovil. Communications were excellent, and nothing was too much trouble. The room itself was huge, spotless, warm, and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious with every possible option made available. Off-road parking made unloading luggage easy, too. Will definitely be going back when business calls us that way again.
On the outskirts of Yeovil, in scenic Somerset, the family-run Preston Hotel offers elegant rooms with free Wi-Fi. The Victorian hotel enjoys an elevated position and also has an ale bar.

The breakfast was nice.
The staff were fantastic - the lady on reception (late pm on the day we arrived) tried to tell me how to get into the car park. I was being a bit dense and she came all the way to the border with the main public car park so I could see he and find the way in. She was then v helpful re which room would suit my partner better as he has Parkinson’s.
The next morning we assumed we could sit outside to have breakfast. When we asked the lady on duty she hesitated for a moment then explained that whilst it wasn’t usual it would be fine. She then brought cutlery/plates etc outside. We felt a bit guilty when we realised it wasn’t normal but had a lovely breakfast in the sun! My husband always feels anxious about being in crowds so it was great for him.
Yeovil city is a marvellous place for holiday. The serenity of the city is astounding. The beautiful city is welcoming and perfect for holidays. We went for a wedding ceremony. We visited the countryside too.The topography is fabulous.

Yeovil looks as though it has had the guts ripped out of it.
Yeovil looks as though it has had the guts ripped out of it. At the top of town there are a lot of empty and semi-derelict retail properties. The area in the middle is apparently undergoing renovation but again has a large number of empty and derelict properties, including an entire shopping mall. Out of 9 properties in Middle Street, 7 were Betting Shops or Charity shops. Early Sunday morning shows the unfortunate "dwellers" in the town centre- hardly an advert for "come and visit". This is a sad indictment on both Yeovil and society in general.
I would add however that the A&E Department at the Hospital were excellent - full marks.

Sadly, Yeovil town centre is awful.
Sadly, Yeovil town centre is awful. Around half the shops are boarded up/closed down and most of the pedestrianised area is fenced off due to works that have been "in progress" for about 4 years (according to locals). Whilst there might be pleasant areas within the town, there were none to be found right in the central shopping district.

Nice area but Yeovil was busier than I expected.
Nice area but Yeovil was busier than I expected.
Lovely country park but car parking signs were extremely hard to follow or even see / spot once in Yeovil. This could have been due to road works within the town. However, don't let this put you off visiting the country park as it is a liitle gem pratically within the centre of town.

Roadworks in the town made getting around difficult.
Roadworks in the town made getting around difficult.
Yeovil is fairly central in the west country and one can go in all directions from the Boho flat….very convenient. Yeovil isn’t a pretty town .
Some very good Italian restaurants and other places to eat.
There were many aspects of the hotel that I really liked. The room was spacious enough, with a comfortable double bed, large bathroom containing a shower, small seating area and sofa...all of which made it undoubtedly good value for money, certainly exceeding my expectations as I only booked it two days prior at relatively late notice. Furthermore, the restaurant attached to the building was a real gem offering lovely food. Amenities like that are difficult to find in the Yeovil/Mudford area so it certainly killed two birds with one stone.
The bedroom was decorated lovely it was very spacious with a very big bathroom. The bedroom included a microwave with plates knifes forks spoons and bowls. The hotel even has a utility room with a sink towels iron and ironing board. More toilet rolls tea coffee hot chocolate milk and sugar. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again. Also I didn't go for breakfast but my husband did, he said the full English was delicious with plenty of choice including yogurt toast cereal juice and fruit.
Very good location far enough away from town to not hear all the pubs and clubs at night but also close enough that walking to town centre takes a few minutes. The apartment is immaculate and the facilities are everything you could need for a place to stay in the town. The owners are very quick to give all the information that is needed for your stay by far some of the best service of this kind we've had in yeovil. Highly recommended anyone to book a stay
I wasn't expecting much for £78 per night so I was pleasantly surprised! My room (room 5) was clean, warm and very comfortable. A microwave, fridge, plates and cutlery were available for use if required. Good sized bathroom and shower. Very comfortable bed. Excellent town centre location.
I didn't see any member of staff during my stay, but the self check-in instructions are very clear.
I would stay again.
Staff great and very helpful, hotel itself was well located in town, parking good and breakfast in tghe morning great, overall quite happy with what we were provided with.
Property itself is quite historic and clearly has a popular clientele along with a really pleasant atmosphere.
Staff were really helpful. I stayed in the Motel part which is attached to the hotel ergo room was on the level and ideal for those who have difficulty with stairs. Dog friendly. Yeovil is a nightmare to drive through so I suggest taxi or bus into town which is not far away.34n
This hotel is really nice, with friendly and courteous staff who go over and above to please their customers. We have stayed here quite a few times when visiting Yeovil and wouldn't think twice about booking it every time.
Tidy organised room, friendly locals in bar, great owner very friendly and happy in the morning!. Overall excellent stay for one night.. will book again when back in Somerset.
Lovely place to stay, comfy, very well done out with everything you need. One of the best I’ve stayed in for the price in Yeovil. Wish I’d found it sooner!
