The location, the views, the breakfast were all amazing.
However, most impressive of all was the help and support Kostas, the manager gave us when we got a flat tyre just before sunset on a mountain road back from the Prodomos monastery. After we phoned him for help he arranged for a local taxi to get us. The taxi driver was able to put on the spare tyre then followed us back as the light faded.
The next morning Kostas looked at the damaged tyre and contacted a garage a few kilometres away and sorted out getting the correct replacement tyre fitted!
All this unexpected help meant that although we couldn’t do the first stage of the Menalon trail as planned, we were able to get to our next accommodation in Pylos on time and without delay.
Thank you so much Kostas!

We stayed twice in the week whilst walking the Menalon Trail. A stunning location overlooking the mountains. Good size suite with balcony. Great shower and bathroom with local products.
The Coco-Mat mattress and pillows were just what's needed after a long day's hike.
Brilliant hosts, very friendly and welcoming.

Dimitsana is a typical beautiful mountain village with very narrow, steep cobblestone streets. Very picturesque! We loved the experience.
The roads leading to it are challenging and the village streets very narrow; not for a nervous driver. Would not recommend to persons with physical mobility issues.

Dimitsana is great for a weekend visit, because it's located close to Athens with easy access. There are various things you can do, besides tasting great food. Hicking, walking in the forests, rafting are some of the activities you can try.

I feel like one doesn’t have a full picture of Greece without a visit to a hill town like Dimitsana. Lovely, lively, intriguing. Drive respectfully or not at all. Visit the monastery (you have to open the gate yourself during visiting hours), walk the hills, visit the water power museum and simply enjoy authentic Greece.

We appreciated the helpfulness of our host.
We appreciated the helpfulness of our host. He directed us to a hike that we wanted to make and helped facilitate transportation so we could be dropped off at one end and hike back to the village. We enjoyed a traditional breakfast both of the mornings we stayed at the guesthouse. The room was comfortable and we loved sitting on the balcony in the morning to enjoy the view of the village.

We stayed for 2 nights, which could have been longer, but there was so much to see in Peloponnese. We had a day to hike the gorge and visit monasteries, which shouldn't be missed. (One can actually drive close to them, but the hike was beautiful.) Some good restaurants in town, too.

A somewhat alternative destination, a beautiful village with a good selection of small shops and restaurants/cafes. Lots of options to hike in the surrounding forest and Lousios gorge as well as other outdoor activities in the neighbouring villages.
An outstanding hotel in the center of Dimitsana. In an historical building. Each room is exceptional and different. The hosts were also very nice and helpful: they organized a parking for two cars and helped with luggage (there is a stair climb to the hotel entrance). The breakfast was also exceptional - much more than one can eat and very fresh and tasty. The village itself is worth to spend some time.
Be sure to book a room overlooking the canyon - amazing view! Very comfortable bed, great water pressure in shower, very spacious room, immaculately clean. Family run hotel where they really care about you having a wonderful stay. Highlight was the buffet breakfast which was super delicious! Everything was of great quality and the coffee is perfect!
We left the car at the outskirt of the village and Kristi picked us up to bring us to the location.
The day we left she drove us back to our car.
She is a absolutly friendly person and adviced the taxi driver to bting us to the entrance of the louisios gorge where we hiked back to Dimitsana. .
Takes you around 5 hourd and arounf 900 M altitude

Sorry we missed her hand baked sweets for breakfast as we had to leave. Very nice tho and we felt like family❤️🧿❤️ We were able to park right at hotel!!!
-Perfect location very close to Dimitsana and Lagkadia
-Quiet and family friendly, with a nice bbq area, big living room, and patio, which allows for a big group to enjoy.
-Next to a small taverna and small shop in case someone does not wish to visit a nearby village
-Close to the forest for a hike
