The location is fabulous the hotel is clean and the surroundings mostly well kept apart from the rusty shipping containers and pile of old rafia umbrellas and odd bits of building materials

Good location for Elafonissi beach and Kedrodassos, ten minutes by car. Good restaurants were nearby. The apartement was new, modern and clean (especially bathroom). The terrace was quite big. As a wellcome there was water, biscuites and honey

We booked the room so we could enjoy a longer day at the Elafonisi beach and not drive back the windy road at night. The room is rather modern with a big bed. Once the daily tourists are gone, it gets really peaceful. There is a big parking spot in front of it where you can leave your car during the stay. Moreover there is the possibility to have a small breakfast.
Elafonisi is the most overrated beach in Crete.
Super crowded. The sand is not pink. It's a normal sand. The beach resorts are expensive, usually they are full and the chairs are attached. On top of that, you need to walk 20 minutes to reach the sea.

Breathtaking natural lagoon which everyone is coming to enjoy. Get here before the buses arrive at 10 am or come after 4pm when buses leave otherwise I think it is too crowded. Consider staying overnight at Lafo Rooms.

Elafonisi Beach, with its unique pink sand, is undeniably stunning. However, during the day it can become extremely crowded, making it challenging to find sunbeds. Nevertheless, as the day transitions into evening, the beach becomes quiet, serene, and free from crowds, allowing you to fully appreciate its true beauty, especially during the magical moments just before sunset.

What a ZOO!!!
What a ZOO!!! It’s mid October and the place is still super crowded. Cannot even begin to imagine the crowds in July or August.
Crowds aside… it is an amazing place… beautiful, clear water.. great for young families. One can find a bit of privacy across the water on the spot.

A truly beautiful beach, the nicest I have visited in Crete...
A truly beautiful beach, the nicest I have visited in Crete so far. It is also a very valuable and protected natural site. The beach offers a very varied environment. There is classic seating on the shore under umbrellas and bars. Towards the sea you can enjoy the shallow beach and the sea waves. On the other side there is a quiet shallow lagoon with several islets and a sand spit connecting the coast with the island of Elafonisi. The lagoon is just a paddle away. If you go further, the other side of the island is again washed by the sea and there is also quite a nice snorkeling environment. Because of the size and ruggedness of the place, you can easily find a space for yourself. But there are a lot of people. There is little shade on the spot, so the more experienced ones will occupy the better spots first thing in the morning. It's good to have something to protect you from the sun. You have to go back to the beginning for drinks and toilets, so count on that. Plenty of space to park on site, just the last stretch is not a groomed road so watch your tyres.
It was very close to Elafonisi paradise beach, moreover the structure was surrounded by olive trees.
The room was comfortable, with all the provided tools such as phondryer and towels.
Wonderful the little terrace to have a rest.
The owner very gentle to leave us some breakfast solutions with soluble coffee, thè and something to eat.
The owner helped us even changing a not functioning bathroom light bulb, the day after the request.
Finally a tiny mini market can be found just under the structure as well as excellent restaurants nearby.
The whole family that runs the place was the best part of our stay! Helpful and always with a great smile...They made our stay great! The hotel is charming and very close to Elafonisi beach, just ten minutes by walk. The room was very comfortable, with relaxing views to olive trees in the morning, and to a starry sky in the night. The restaurant is great, lots of delicious options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is not included but you can make your own in your cute kitchen at the room or enjoy the restaurant's menu.
My favourite place in Crete. It is in a great position, only 15 minutes by car from Elafonisi. There is a parking and you can reach a beautiful beach with a 5 minutes walk. Close to the hotel there are a couple of good restaurants. We had the room with the little balcony, with a lovely view on the sea. In the evening and night there is complete silence around. The room is big, clean and recently renovated. The host is very kind. 100% recommended
Everything! Location is pretty much as close as you can get to Elafonissi beach (which is a protected natural area). The hotel and Taverna are family-owned which shows everywhere, from the warm, personal greeting you get from Maria , the grand-daughter-in-law, to the home cooked meals in the restaurant. All is beautifully updated, including solar and an EV charging station. We can’t recommend it highly enough!
The apartment is super clean and has all the facilities and equipment. It feels like home. We have booked a room with big terrace. The view of Monastery with sunset was amazing. The host couple is super nice and friendly. The location is also very great, 9min drive to the Elafonisi beach and serval restaurants and supermarkets nearby. We would definitely stay here again if we come back.
It was lovely. Elafonisi is pretty much a long road with no villages and a few hotels on the way. Glykeria was a short drive from the beach. It's comfy, the pool is great and the staff super nice. The food at the restaurant is also good.
I'd recommend to go to the cedar beach, a bit less busy than elafonisi but absolutely marvelous if you can get a spot under a tree (go early or late).
I had booked a small single room, but got upgraded to a triple room without additional charges. The room was simple, but large and clean, good value for the money I spent. The location is very convenient since it is 5 minutes away from Elafonisi beach by car. The host was very welcoming and helpful.
The staff at kochilas was friendly and accommodating! The rooms are quaint and small but it's no problem because if you're booking a room near elafonisi beach, you probably will spend all of your time at the beach! I'd also recommend visiting white lake too.
Friendly, responsive host. Great base for a beach vacation. Close to many beaches, including Elafonisi. Lots of restaurants and markets nearby. Host has a folder of great local beach info. Star-gazing at night was wonderful!
Stelios is very kind, shows a lot of understanding for us. The room is nice, bathroom is new. The location is simply the best to visit Elafonisi and be on the beach before others come. Market is near and parking was free.
The location is fabulous the hotel is clean and the surroundings mostly well kept apart from the rusty shipping containers and pile of old rafia umbrellas and odd bits of building materials
The house is very cute, very new and nicely designed. Hosts are super friendly, we felt like visiting family!
Location is great is you are planning to visit Elafonisi beach by car.
Location is awesome, you can be at the beach before anyone else so that is great! There are 3-4 restaurants and one of them is right next to the rooms, so it's very convenient.
