Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Porofarago. Maria was awesome! Her food was excellent; it was cool to know that everything was not just homemade but in many ways homegrown. From the honey to the yogurt, cheese, olive oil and the vegetables, they are all grown/produced on their property. She went above and beyond getting up early to make breakfast and lunch for us to take on the Samaria Gorge hike; her place is about a 20 minute drive to the trailhead. We also did a portion of the Agia Irini gorge the next morning and it was well worth it. Will be back! Many thanks to Maria and family!

The location was lovely, out of the most touristy part of Sougia but close enough to quickly drive down for a meal or to buy supplies. We were hiking the Agia Irini Gorge and it was very conventient for that.
