Beautiful place, amazing views, great historic atmosphere of the room. Comfortable and clean. Ilona made us delicious breakfast in the mornings and answered all our questions with a smile. Enjoyed our stay very much. Menalon Trail 10m from the doorstep.

The house is in right in the centre of the village, near the square with its cafés, its excellent restaurant and its little village shop. It is a big plus that each bedroom has its own bathroom (with shower and toilet).
It is a traditional village house, well restored, with a certain rustic charm.
It is a great base for hiking in the area (and relaxing at the end of a tiring day!) We enjoyed the spectacular Greak Easter celebrations while we were there.
Boasting garden views, The Stonehouse offers accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 38 km from Mainalo. The property features city and inner courtyard views.

This is a really characterful, elegant, old Stemnista stonehouse. It’s very nicely furnished with books, paintings and traditional furniture. The kitchen is also well equipped. It’s in the centre of Stemnista with great views from the roof terrace. The main first floor living room is a lovely, light filled space.

We visited in late April keen to walk the Lousios Gorge between Demitsana and Stemnitsa. We booked a B&B in Stemnitsa having visited the previous day. The walk was strenuous (good footwear, sticks could be helpful, take supplies) but knowing we were staying overnight in Stemnitsa B&B meant we had plenty of time. Beautiful flowers and bird life in the gorge as well as monasteries to visit. Lucky with weather, beautiful views and good clear pathway. The signposting for the walk is good. Ask directions at the Water Mill Museum as we added an additional hour taking the wrong direction.
Stemnitsa is welcoming to visitors. Cafe on the square was really friendly helpful and served great coffee. Helped order a taxi back to Demitsana the following morning. Enjoyed an evening meal in local restaurant with helpful staff and busy atmosphere. Lovely town centre to explore and as the season progresses more shops/restaurants will open.

This is a perfect location if you are hiking the Lousios Gorge. You can start the hike from the hotel. We enjoyed just heading down the hill and right in to town to start the hike..just 5 min walk to the beginning of the trail.

The host was helpful and friendly, the accommodations are an old house in a beautiful village, and have been adapted for guests, so the place is heavy on atmosphere. But the shower stall was smallest I have ever seen, and almost unusable, the room was for a couple, but with separate single beds that could not be pushed together, and getting bags from parking to room required long steep climb up stairs and stone path. Not easy.

Stemnitsa is a beautiful mountain town, smaller and less touristy than Dimitsana. Dining within town is limited, but there are some good tavernas within driving distance. We liked how quiet it was--no tour buses, just the unique architecture and views and good access to trails.

The location of this village allows you to approach a few beautiful treks in a relatively short car drive so you can spend two or three days enjoying nature but also the village itself without much strain.
The location was perfect, just round the corner from the main square of Stemnitsa where you can sit in the morning sun and have a coffee. I spent some time researching property in Arcadia and nothing ticked all the boxes except this property. Stylishly decorated, lovely fireplace, great location, spotlessly clean, friendly and helpful contact with the owner. The village itself is the beginning of the great Menalon Trail so we had 5 perfect days of walking and evenings by the fire. I cannot recommend highly enough and we intend to return.
As other reviewers have said, the owner of this small inn, Nina, is a gem. She is charming and engaging and runs her inn expertly. We had a wonderful room with a fireplace with views over the village. The inn is immaculate, warm, cozy and charming. There is a small but lovely breakfast/lounge room where we enjoyed a glass of wine and a chat with some fellow travelers. And the breakfast was the best we have had in Greece. Wonderful homemade food and fresh coffee. We loved it all!
A perfect place to stay. A very big fully furnished room with balcony and a mountain view. Clean big bathroom. Fridge. The bed was very cozy. There is no a/c, but even in August it was nice and cool in the room. Super nice host! Really close to the village's center (though when you're coming back you'll have to climb up a bit).
There is a small street parking about 50 m from the hotel on Pelopida str. Don't try and go right up to the hotel by car, as it is very steep.
this is a wonderful house in an excellent location next to the center of the beautiful totally green historic Arcadia village of Stemnitsa at 1.100 m height. the village is beautiful well maintained with local character and architecture. the house has fantastic view, the rooms are spacey, and it is traditionally, tastefully decorated whereas all amenities are of the highest quality. a great experience, exceeded our expectations.
Nice little room in a beautiful guesthouse high above Stemnitsa. Everything is very new, and while the room was small it was well equipped with everything you need, including a balcony overlooking the village. Comfortable beds, very quiet, gorgeous and very attentive host. A sumptuous breakfast was included. There is only a narrow road leading to the guesthouse and the village can be reached by foot via some rather steep stairs.
Stemnitsa was by far our favourite place of our 20 day trip. Tsarbou guesthouse welcomed us and treated us like familly.
Christina, the owner of the business is pure gold.
The room and it’s vibe is just fantastic, especially for us who don’t really enjoy the heat during the summer months.
I have only good thing to say about the business, the facilities, the breakfast and our overall experience. We’ll be back soon!
We enjoyed the delicious breakfast with homemade omelettes, bread and jams, and the special sweet treat at the end. The room was cosy and spacious with great views unto the beautiful village of Stemnitsa. The owner was very knowledgeable about the many hikes in the area and could help us choose the right one for us.
This is an beautiful property, decorated in a very traditional way. It is located in the centre of the village of Stemnitsa. The room we stayed was very spacious and comfortable. The host is very kind, helpful and enthusiastic about hosting guests. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to explore Stemnitsa.
Beautiful old, nicely restored guesthouse. We had a balcony & the view of the mountains & village was amazing. Our breakfast was delicious & included so many wonderful dishes. Our host was very helpful & friendly. We were walking distance to Stemnitsa & we loved the village!
The property is very nice decorated, it is much prettier than the pictures I could say. It is clean and very comfortable. You can walk to the center of the village and you can park the car almost in front of the hotel, there are only a few steps to go down.
Host went beyond what we expected--was attentive, cheerful, helpful. Breakfast was very good, freshly prepared, and more than we could eat. The shared common space was quite pleasant and a nice addition to our room. Nice courtyard overlooking Stemnitsa.
We got very late (at 00:30) and the staff left for us keys and were available at any time.
Beautiful place, very nice staff and the breakfast was very good. The Hotel is on Menalon trail. (Strains straight to menalon trail). Plenty parking place
The hotel ist built of stone, which fits very well to the houses of the old village. At the interior ceiling and walls are decorated with dark wood; dark wooden furniture as well, which gives a traditional impression.
I loved the hotel. It's cute and the personnel was very kind and helpful. The village is like a glimpse in time ! I definitely recommend you to stay at this charming place.
one of the top hotel experience we had in Greece. the place looks very well maintained, clean and takes you in a real Greek feelings with wooden style rooms
