The location was excellent for accessing the ferry port and the town. The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious. Everything was very clean and tidy. There are plenty of good restaurants in Vela Luca which are within 200m from the hotel. The staff were exceptional and were very attentive to requests. Breakfast is extensive with a wide range of hot and cold options.

Very comfortable bed, good size room with balcony, and the bathroom was a very good size. The facilities throughout all functioned well, plus a nice view of the harbour from the balcony. Great pillows.
The positions is close to the action in town. Highly recommend.

Superb accomodation. Loved the huge terrace and views over the bay. Perfectly set in paradise cove with very limited footfall, for those who prefer peace and quiet. Also appreciated the quick turnaround due to very late booking from my part. Highly recommend.

Lots of friendly, locally-owned restaurants and bars with great character. Wonderful local food cooked in traditional style at numerous restaurants. The food was delicious everywhere we ate - all fresh local fish, seafood and vegetables in vast quantities - every serve can easily be shared by 2 people. A large range of Croatian wines were available at the restaurants and bars at very good prices. It’s very economical to wine and dine in Vela Luca. Swimming in the crystal clear sea off the rocky beaches is wonderful. Plenty of walking and cycling trails out of town into the countryside of the island. Fishing and boating activities are extensive. We enjoyed the walk and visit to the Vela Spila cave for a glimpse of life 20,000 years ago.EdTotaAustralia - 6.0Scored 6.0
Vela Luka is an ex-industrial town on Korčula island.
Vela Luka is an ex-industrial town on Korčula island. It is not as historic as the old town of Korčula (although there is an archaeological site from the Neolithic). It is more down to earth and does not try to be as upscale as the old town of Korčula which only strives for upscale tourists now. But Vela Luka is still close to super beaches and has shops and bars, that are much more pocket friendly than the old town of Korčula. Take a boat to nearby Proizd island or a taxi boat to the main beach. ... you will not be disappointed.CimoliniSlovenia - 10Scored 10

Loved the little balcony, loved the "city vibe" from the balcony! Also appreciated the fact that we were close to the town center, close to everything like shops, cafés, restaurants and supermarkets! The room was so comfy and most importantly CLEAN!

Wasn't as lively as some other places I've visited in Croatia/felt a little like it has fallen on hard times, but we still really loved the community atmosphere. Excelent starting point for exploring beautiful Island of Korčula. Beaches are out od town but easy to reach by boat (regular lines) or car. Town is quite authentic and not overcrowded by tourists, with lot od restaurants and bars.AleksandraCroatia - 10Scored 10

Its very different to Korcula town, it has great places to swim within walking distance of the town, has good value restaurants and accommodation, its not yet spoilt, lovely to mix with locals as seems to have more local holiday makers than overseas ones. Good cycling but not many places to refuel on hot days - so be warned, carry plenty of water with you! Don't expect pretty narrow streets and hustle and bustle - ( like in Hvar, Trogir and Korcula old town) but do expect a nice chilled time for a very reasonable price with welcoming locals.NashieUnited Kingdom

It was a really outstanding interior design (great rain shower, perfect lighting and comfortable bed as well!) with everything you would need and makes you feel comfotable. The whole building is very new and everything is still shining. Matea gives you a lot of advices, what makes planning easier to get around the island. It is only 10 minutes cool trail walk to the water taxi, which will take you downtown to roam the shops, restaurants and bars. The owners are very nice and helpful, and it felt like they are family. They truly care for their guests and help you with everything, such a sweat couple! The rooms are very clean and modern. Air-conditioning worked perfectly, which is very important, it was hot and humid outside.

Apartment is furnitured with everyrhing you'd need and is clean. There is a terrace with barbecue and everything you need to start it. We had a short stay and unfortunatelly didn't have a chance for a barbecue. There is a parking place available. We walked to the beach which is right below the apartment and to the city center (with cheap boat taxi from Poseidon hotel directly to center).

Ivana is the most friendly and helpful host you can imagine. We rented the apartment and it was really big, clean and it had the most beautiful view on the whole riviera of Vela Luka. The apartment was fully equipped with all the appliances, such as washing machine, dishwasher, oven, huge fridge and freezer and coffee machine. We couldn't imagine a better accommodation in Vela Luka.

The location is perfect, one corner away from the main road of Vela Luka on the coastline. All shops and restaurants are right at your doorstep. The accommodation is exactly as shown on the pictures.

Lovely apartment, fully equipped, with a beautiful view from terrace as well as your own swimming pool. Less than 1 minute walk down the path to the sea and a sea front restaurant 3 mins walk away. Vela Luka is a short drive and had plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, icecream shops etc. it’s also a hub for the ferry and other boat trips.

We loved a very large shaded terrace where we ate all our meals and spent time before bed playing cards. The place is about 20 minutes away from the pretty Vela Luka and very calm and silent, which is what we really like on a holiday. The owners are also very kind.
