Innisfree House, hotel in Dundalk

Featuring 4-star accommodation, Innisfree House is located in Dundalk, 1.6 km from Louth County Museum and 3.7 km from Proleek Dolmen.

The place is very museum-like, little treasures everywhere. It smells very nice on the hallway. The whole place is sparkling clean and the staff very nice. Also location is very close to train station and 15 min walk to town center. We had breakfast booked, and menu was very diverse (could choose from a menu of irish breakfast, french toast, eggs, porrodge etc), the kitchen staff more than nice and acomodating.

I have family in Dundalk, small town, not much action, but you can travel to small villages and places close to it, for instance Trim, some castle 's ruins, and walk around. Also can travel to Belfast and up north to the Giant Steps, nice trip.

Dundalk in County Louth, the wee county, provided an incredible outpouring of creativity to celebrate Brigid1500. The Northern Lights Light Show in Market Square, the murals and storefronts painted with signs of Spring and Brigid, the cultural production at An Tain Theatre and the County Museum. We were there for 4 days and we made the Proper Cafe "our cafe". The staff were very welcoming and remembered us and the food was great! We also took a bus to Carlingford and enjoyed a short hike and great views of Carlingford Lough. Also, the home of Thomas Darcy McGee, and Father of Canadian Confederation.

The Imperial Hotel is a lovely comfortable hotel with very friendly helpful staff. The location of the hotel is very central and the town centre and shopping are just a short stroll from the door. My husband enjoyed a very pleasant evening at the races in Ireland's only all weather racecourse, just a short Taxi ride away, while I browsed and shopped in the nearby Shopping Centre. We dined in the hotel, where the food was excellent. We had a lovely restful two day break, and we plan to return there in the future.

People were very friendly, a lot of greetings while out walking the street on a wet morning, likewise staff in shops all very welcoming, the town could do more to promote it's history and some beautiful surroundings within close proximity, unfortunately there are a lot of derelict or dilapidated buildings around the town. The town also could do with a better range of dining experiences The Spotted Dog was excellent but a few more restaurants at that end of the market would be very welcome.

    Dundalk has lots of potential.

Dundalk has lots of potential. Nicely laid out town and looking very well Unfortunately the people of Dundalk don't know the meaning of good customer service, very cold and unwelcoming. We didn't meet a single friendly face in the bars or resteraunts, customer service was NIL!

Good hotel- my home town- it’s the town home town hotel - I remember it before it got done up 20 odd years ago - it’s still the towns home town hotel - It’s nice it’s clean it’s warm the staff are nice and helpful The foods good - the breakfast is good the location is good - like most hotels in Ireland it’s marked as a 4 star but it’s not it’s a good 3 start like 90% of hotels in Ireland- in the U.K. it would be a very very good premier inn . This is not the hotel it’s the Irish government and using the price with tax

The location is not in the town centre but it was in the same area as Costa, Supervalu and a pharmacy, which is what you would need just outside your hotel. It is a 5 minute drive to some fastfood chains and shopping areas, and close to the sea with great views in just 5 mins. The location is ideal in my opinion, it’s away from the busy traffic of the town centre but everything is almost at your doorstep.

I stayed at the Glen Gat House in 2018 and was excited to go back this week. One of the best bed and breakfasts I've ever stayed at. It's a charming spacious house with good sized rooms, extremely clean, comfortable and a staff that is both friendly and welcoming. And a wonderful full Irish breakfast included in the beautiful dining room. Highly recommended to anyone traveling in the area!

This is an outstanding b&b. Very friendly hosts, who offered excellent food suggestions, and a considerate staff. The place is immaculately clean and a comfy place to relax after a day of travel. And the best breakfast in the morning. The best in Ireland, after three weeks of travel. They have operated this b&b for decades and the positives show.

This spot provided the perfect stay for us on our first couple nights in Ireland. It was incredibly cozy, well-kept, fantastic location to venture into smaller towns during the day/evening while having a nice and quiet respite for the night. Walking up to the sunrise and sheep sounds was the perfect idyllic Irish experience.

This is a lovely property. The dining, lounging and reception areas are in the historic main structure and the rooms in the attached more modern structure. And where this combination has been disastrous in other properties, everything here was done quite well. The result is modern comfort in a historic property.
