Hotels near Reenard Cross

We arrived at a very disorganized and dysfunctional establishment that was quite difficult to find, even with the mixed-up directions provided. When I tried to clarify some issues with the host, she responded with, "I shouldn’t even be here, it’s my day off." This didn't address any of our concerns. I tried to change to a different room due to the confusing layout and the number of stairs, but was told they were fully booked but after pushing it, i was given a different room. Then for curiosity I checked their website and was able to book three rooms for the same night, so clearly the “we are fully booked” was debatable. The hotel supposedly offers free parking, but we were told it’s on a first-come, first-served basis. Considering the number of rooms, many guests would likely have to struggle for street parking. The bed was okay, but the pillows were cheap and uncomfortable. There is a fridge, but it was warmer inside the fridge than the room. There are 12 downlights in the room, with two switches on the wall, one of which does nothing, while the other turns all 12 lights on or off at once so its all or nothing! Additionally, there are no bedside lamps, just a tiny reading lamp with very low wattage. There isn’t even a towel rail in the bathroom. The rooms are noise transparent, noise travels heavily throughout the building so you can hear whats going on in the room above you and hallway noise is very bad. Also for a room for two people, there was only one arm chair and when asked if it was possible to get another one, we were told yes, but we never saw it which is consistent with the disorganization. The rate is advertised as including breakfast but what is provided is a joke. A couple of pastries i. a paper bag, hung on the door overnight lol.

Loved our stay here. The view from the seaside room was just spectacular! The room was tidy and clean. Absolutely value for money deal.

it was a very well kitted out apartment. It was small but comfortable and had everything you needed 2 chairs table fridge and a cooker. Car parking was outside. very quite location. Although we did not choose to have it there are apartments with views over the sea to the island which would be nice.

A lovely place to stay off the beaten track. Hosts Maureen & Pete are so friendly and helpful. Wonderful breakfast with lots of home made produce.
