This place is extremely clean and neat. The interior design is so good and there are many corner to corner where you can stay and relax. The dining iroom is so good. You can just sit there having a coffee.
Don't miss the free sauna downstairs. It's really well made. I strongly recommend this place. The location is great too!

Clean, comfortable room with a beautiful and unique view of the fjord! The room was very cosy. We stayed here 3 days due to bad weather which prevented us from leaving (our booking was for one night only) and Maggy was lovely with us!!! Every day she came by to ask if we needed anything and provided us with coffee and chocolate. She kept us updated on the road situation and gave us advice on where to eat and what to do. I highly recommend everyone to stay are here!!! Thanks again Maggy!!!

This town is a bit over rated in my opinion.
This town is a bit over rated in my opinion. There is almost nothing there. The setting is nice, but we stayed in a town called Siglufjordur up north is much prettier and had a lot more to offer, so I would skip this one and head up there.

This is a great place to stay for a couple of days.
This is a great place to stay for a couple of days. The town is small but charming, and there a multiple day hikes close by. If you are doing the ring road, this might be a nice spot for two nights to rest up a bit. You might catch a glimpse of the Faroe Islands/Denmark Ferry that comes in once a week. Breakfast options are limited, however there is a little bakery in the supermarket that has wonderful fresh baked bread and goods.

This is a pleasant town in a strikingly beautiful location between mountains and a fjord. Apart from the surrounding beauty, the town is tranquil (out of season) and very walkable. We understand that things heat up during the summer season. There are a handful of restaurants and a well-stocked supermarket. During working hours the town suffers from strong fishy odors coming from the local fish processing factory. In short, it is a must-see stop on any tour of Iceland.zevCanada - 10Scored 10

Seydisfjordur was a picture perfect village. We ate at two of the restaurants and the food was delicious. We enjoyed a local hike. And being fans of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" we enjoyed seeing the filming locations in this town.SuzanneUnited States

Accommodations and amenities are limited due to it being the "off-season" While breakfast was not included, Sigrid was able to arrange something in the town which was amazing. We also had a storm come over night and she helped with making sure that we could get out and was also concerned that we would make it over the pass. We messaged back and forth to let her know that all was good. I cannot speak more highly of her kindness, hospitality, and caring nature.

The drive was beautiful and the town is picturesque and charming. The property has one bedroom and bathroom downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs (one with a queen and one with two twin beds). The kitchen is simple but fills all basic needs. The laundry is shared and not a big washing machine but I was able to wash 8 items or so. Iceland is so beautiful. Enjoy!AmyUnited States

The stunning lake and mountain views are truly exceptional, and it's also conveniently close to the famous little church. I even had the privilege of witnessing the Northern Lights while enjoying a beer on the balcony at night. I believe everyone should definitely not miss this place. The view from the room was fantastic and we had a lovely evening sitting outside on the perch in front of the hotel by the water, so 10+ for location. The bathroom was small but we managed. Communication beforehand was easy, the guesthouse is super clean and also takes measures with regard to the current situation seriously, the owner / staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely would go back there and can totally recommend it even for a longer stay than just one night.

Extra plus for the small fridge in our room. You park the car just outside the house. It is but a minute or two by foot to the restaurants and harbour in this small town. We got good instructions beforehand about the check-in etc.
