Spent 3 nights here, as a group, and we've had a great experience. The communication with the owners was excellent, and the check-in was smooth. The rooms were super clean (and we had daily room cleaning) and recently renovated. Location is great, close to restaurants, cafes, and the historical attractions.

Barletta and all surrounding small cities are very interesting from a historical and architectural point of view. Barletta is a very fine base for short trips to Gargano (Vieste, Peschici, Foresta Umbra, Monte Sant'Angelo etc.), to Andria, to Castel del Monte, to Cannae della Bataglia, Trani, Giovinazzo etc. Barletta itself has a fine castello with a passable museum inside and a fine arts exposition of De Nittis. Bari Airport is a short drive away, also the large commercial complex at Molfetta. In sum, Barletta is a very fine choice for a base to reside and explore Puglia in 1-day trips. I would assume Barletta gets crowded in high summer season.

I was surprised at how beautiful Barletta was.
I was surprised at how beautiful Barletta was. We only stopped for the night on our way up north and was amazed with what we saw. It has beautiful sandy beaches, outdoor cafes, restaurants and parks. The people were friendly, and the night life was alive with people everywhere. What blew us away the most was the old part of the town. The picturesque little narrow streets and architecture of the buildings. A must see if you have time. I needed to stay a few days at least.

Beautiful historic centre. You can walk everywhere.
Beautiful historic centre. You can walk everywhere. Small and compact. Excellent food especially the fish and seafood. Very lively in the evening. Seems like the whole town goes out for a walk and to socialise. The nearby beaches are very inviting in warm weather.

We loved this beach town.
We loved this beach town. There are extensive shopping and dining options in the (historic) city center. It appeared to be a hidden gem for many foreign tourists, as English is little spoken.
Beautiful town with authentic buildings, monuments and all within walking distance. Bari Airport is a 35-minute drive.
Shops are usually open in the morning and from 17.00 until 20.45 hrs in Barletta, meaning many cars in the narrow streets as people go for dinner and shopping. Caution is required.

Barletta was a genuine taste of Italy away from the tourist trail. It is a town by the sea rather than a seaside town. The beach is not the main attraction. The old town is beautiful with lots of cafes to soak up the atmosphere. The castle and cathedral are the main places to see. Typical white stone buildings with lots of little streets to explore. We hired a car and found it easy to find our way around. It wasn't always clear who had right of way and the drivers don't seem to stick to the limit. We were advised to go at the speed of the car in front. There isn't much to do in Barletta so is ideal for a short stay or as a base for exploring the local area which has many coastal towns as well as hilltop towns nearby. Pizzeria Mattone is the best place for pizza.
This is such a cute apartment for a trip to Barletta, perfect for travelling alone, as a couple or as a couple with one child. A modern kitchen and a little balcony that makes you feel right at home in Italy, rather than like a guest. Food shopping is a short walk, plenty of bars and gelato places around. Quiet road so I slept with the windows open all nights.
The check-in and check-out were super easy and completely flexible, thank you very much to the hosts. 10/10 would recommend and definitely will book again if I'm in Barletta.
Beautiful appartment equipped with absolutly everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Spacious kitchen with plates and all cooking utensils, comfortable living room with good TV (Netflix included), AC. Big bedroom with great bed. All spotless clean. Additionally all rooms have fans. Location right in the historic centre with all cafes and restaurants there. 5 min walk to the beach.
Stefania is an exeptional host- so kind to pick us up from the train station. If you need a place in Barletta - I highly reccomend that one.
Excellent location within the old city with many great restaurants nearby and a short walk the beach. Excellent hosts that were extremely helpful, showed where to park, carried our bags on arrival, provided extra towels, etc. We arrived earlier than expected and once contacted they met us within a few minutes. They also provided vouchers for breakfast in a nearby café on the same street. The apartment is in an old historic building and a great place to base yourself within Barletta.
Everything you want & need for a one night stay. easy check-in by a welcoming host. great location. well decorated small space. big warm shower. comfy bed. quiet. free parking a few blocks away. breakfast options from 2 nearby cafes. 1 ding for no wine glasses or opener, or coffee in the room, although tea is provided. I like a nice cup before venturing into the world first thing in the morning! ! i would definitely stay again & recommend if in Barletta.
The apartment was very central to Barletta and walkable from the train station. Good amenities near by such as Supermarket literally around the corner and many other facilities such as Pharmacy, beaches and castle etc. The host was very kind and accommodating. Very comfortable and large enough for 3 people newly decorated with all mod cons even had coffee machine and washing m/c and separate dryer.
The hotel is older, but well-maintained and extremely clean. The location is perfect for beach-goers as it is directly across the street from the sea. It is safe, easy walk to Old City for entertainment, great restaurants, and historic architecture, and people-watching.
The staff is so welcoming and kind. They went out of their way to offer recommendations, give directions and welcoming smiles.
I was thinking to stay at the adresse shown on booking but I was moved to another location which is not far from the previous hotel. I liked the location and the room was big. Like that it's pet friendly. Before I arrived the hotel they explained me where to park my car. They have a free breakfast coupon which you can choose to have your Italian breakfast on different cafés.
Very nicely decorated appartement in the beautiful village Barletta. What a great atmosphere with a nice style of decoration. We had the luxury room with big terras and whirlpool, recommended as there are 2 bars right below and this room was on the 2nd floor, so still quite some privacy. Wifi is very good and shower also great, comfort is what you get here.
Our stay at La Luna e il Sole was lovely! We meet a wonderful staff and the location was absolutely accommodating, we were a few steps from the wonderful historic centre, from the beach and every facility or tourist attraction.
We spent a lovely time in Barletta and La Luna e il Sole made our holiday happy indeed.
The room was spacious and beautiful, very comfortable and clean. Luca, our host, was very friendly and gave us good advice for the most we can do and see in Barletta for a short stay of 3 days. The breakfast is served in a lovely cafeteria very close to the property. Luca, thank you for the warm welcoming!
The property was in a great location. 10 minute walk from the castle and the old city, 15 minutes to the beach. The property was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities for cooking and eating in if we wanted to. I definitely would recommend to anyone visiting Barletta.
Casa Duconte is quiet even when it's loud in town is loud, it's close to everything, and signore Duconte is a gracious and patient host. The room was spacious and well appointed, and it had everything I needed. I would go back if I were in Barletta again. Mille mille grazie!
Nice place and friendly and helpful hosts.
Room was simply, cozy and clean. Good, delicious breakfast, a little taste of Italy. Good location, the train station and the beach are also quite close.
We loved staying here. Thank you!
Higly recommend!
Very clean, modern room. Nice balcony to enjoy breakfast. Best shower I've had at a hotel. Coffee making facilities and complementary breakfast items were great. Had a delivery of fresh pastries every morning from a local pasticceria.
The property had a really nice view on the main church of Barletta, the room was soundproof so no noises from outside at night.
Carlotta and Damiana were super helpful, kind and polite.
I will definitely come back with my friends!
Hotel is localized in beautiful historicail center of Barletta aproximately 300m away from the beach.
