Excellent location and amazing experience. The staff was very helpful and gave great suggestions for things to do. If you're expecting a Hilton experience, then go elsewhere. This is definitely an island experience. A bit rustic with the sound of sheep walking by, cats roaming and the smell of fresh air. The sunset and sunrise are wonderful with the view of the sea. Would do it again.

Everything was fantastic, especially the breakfast.
Great but out of season. Very good restaurants.
Beware the walk to Cala Luna - ignore the guide book - this is a very tough walk, but worth it if you're young and fit. Walk one way and get the boat back.

Even the town is small, but there are a lot of outdoor program, like boating to the different Cala's, small beaches, which could be accessible only from the sea, by boat.
I strongly recommend to visit Grotta di Bue Marino, a roughly 1 km long cave, with English and Italian language guide.
In the town there is a very interesting Aquarium too.
You may find everywhere good restaurants, bars.
We felt ourselves in the Paradise.

Cala Gonone itself is not that interesting, but you can reach some of the most beautiful beaches by boat from the prier of Cala Gonone. The location is nice, you can reach it after a drive on a serpentine.

Cala Gonone is a sensational destination.
Cala Gonone is a sensational destination. The most beautiful little town with lots of great dining options. The excursions to explore the nearby cove are also incredible. I recommend getting a boat and visiting as many of the ocean access beaches as possible. You wont need a car if you only want to see this little town, however, it is challenging to get to without one. This is a must see destination if you love beaches, boating and great food. Do not miss Cala Gonone!

Peaceful small town with beaches, no rush, a small but great Aquarium, a port, which is great access point to Orosei Gulf. Visited two times off season. Supermarkets expensive, restaurants were not
special but had reasonable price and good food. Check the small restaurant on the top of the hill, right after the tunnel. Great combination for view 7/10 coffee and 8/10 pizza.
The hotel has a view of the sea from many of the balconies and also from the outdoor terrace where breakfast is served. There's also a great restaurant next door (Ristorante Pizzeria San Francisco). The hotel is a little older, but it is well-maintained and has everything you need. Great value. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a large balcony with a partial sea view. Quiet, peaceful, and very close to the marina and many restaurants. They also offered boat tours, and we had a great day on the sea. Breakfast was also great!
Pool was clean and well set up with beds and umbrellas. The temperature of the water was a bit cold in September. The reception staff Maria and the manager Paula were very friendly and very helpful. We were able to add a night on to our stay at the beginning since our accommodation in Nuoro did not work out. Our room had a lovely patio and sea view. Unfortunaely the internet in our room was not working so this was not convenient. However we made do by using the lobby to be closer to the internet provider antennae.
Great little hotel on the hillside above Cala Gonone.
It might look distant on the map, but the town is a 5 minute drive down and there are even two restaurants within walking distance so you'll be fine. Rented car is a must.
Facilities and rooms are great, but the hotel is quite small so don't expect some of the trappings of a bigger one like an open bar.
Overall, we had a great visit and would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody who enjoys not staying in a resort town.
The hotel is in a nice place and it is quite new and tidy. The view from the window and balcony is spectacular, you can lay on the bed and hear and see the view of the sea from it. The staff of the hotel was really friendly and helpful. The breakfast is standard, but tasty. To sum up, if we talk about the hotel, the place, the view, the whole Cala Gonone town, I would say that this was one of the best hotels i stayed and honestly I would recommand to stay in it.
Superb views across the bay of Cala Gonone and beyond. A lovely spot to sit and relax.
The appartment was spotlessly clean with a fully functioning kitchen. There is a balcony/veranda with a lovely view.
The double room was spacious with some wardrobe space.
The appartment is near to the port and the central beach as well as a supermarket, restaurants and gift shops.
There is street parking outside. It’s a narrow road but we always found a space.
this was a good stay. Cala gonone didn’t have many cheap options and this was the cheapest I found. i wish the room had a microwave or tea kettle or something. the staff was very kind to warm up my food in their kitchen microwave when I asked. the balcony was great. it’s a good location to be in - close to the bus stop and you can walk to the nearby beaches. they also have free umbrellas to rent out.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Villa Gustui Maris - using it as our base before a day on the boat exploring the Gulf of Orosei. The pool was incredible with breathtaking views of Cala Gonone. The rooms were clean and comfortable, service attentive, and breakfast plentiful. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone and would visit again!
Hotel L'Oasi has the perfect location in Cala Gonone. It is located on top of the town and has amazing views, especially during breakfast, so having a breakfast is a must when staying. Super friendly staff who lent us wine glasses and plates to have in our room. Vegetarian friendly, they serve cappucinos with soy milk! Overall a very nice stay.
Our 5 day stay in Casa Franziska was very pleasant from first moments until the very end.
Everything was nice and clean and Francesca (the host) was very hospitable, prepared some cakes and drinks for us and also offered Sardinian liquor. She also gave us many contacts and tips for local activities.
Thank you so much Francesca!
the town and beaches of Cala Gonone is lovely in the fall. this property is about 15-20 mins up the hillside from town. you must drive to everything.
it was very quiet. breakfast was fine. coffee good. staff helpful.
room was basic and smallish. works when weather allows most time spent outside.
Very clean, modern and comfortable apartment right across the street from the beach. Great location right in the middle of restaurants, cafes and gelato shops of the appealing touristy beach town of Cala Gonone. Host provided beach towels a cooler for use during stay.
Everything was PERFECT! The apartment is new, modern, confortable, with all the kitchen appliances (even a dishwasher!). There is also a washing machine. When back to Cala Gonone I will definetely stay there again! You can easily park on the street.
The location is great. Right across from the water. The staff was wonderful. The restaurant is pretty good, damn good by "in the hotel" standards. Room was comfortable and huge.
The best stay in Sardinia. Amazing, unique place. So peaceful and quiet. Marco was very helpful and prepared us the most increadible platter. Loved every single minute.
