Location for this hotel is amazing - right across from the lake. We had a wonderful terrace facing the lake. There are restaurants around that are quite good / reasonable, within walking distance. One must take time to visit Villa Carlotta (botanical gardens) - a short 10 minute walk from the hotel - come early May for the flowers.
Located in Varenna and only 3 minutes on foot from Lake Como, Hotel Montecodeno is very close to a ferry boat stop. It offers free WiFi and rooms with views of the garden and mountains.
Villa Edy is set in a quiet spot of Tremezzo, less than 5 minutes' walk from the western shores of Lake Como. It offers an outdoor swimming pool, and a panoramic porch where breakfast is served.

The facilities are being very well kept, spacious rooms and parking area. Most members of staff were fantastic, very responsive, always with a smile in their face. They did not charge 16 eur for what was a very poor meal, meant to be regional and, in Italy, fresh.
Breakfast had a reasonable choice, considering the size of the hotel, bread was soft/long life but seemed fresh.
The eating area was pleasant, nice music.

Absolutely stunning location on the banks of Lake Como in gorgeous, tiny Varenna. Our room had an incredible view of this magical lake and surroundings. Breakfast on the terrace of the restaurant was a lovely treat. Staff is efficient and helpful; although I speak Italian their English is perfect so this make it very easy to communicate re eg ferry schedules, etc.
Overlooking Lake Como, Hotel Lario is in the Tremezzina area, famous for its historic villas and gardens. It offers traditional Italian cuisine, and a garden with swimming pool.
Set in a bay opposite a small harbour on the shores of Lake Como, Hotel Villa Marie is an elegant Art-Nouveau building offering a garden with swimming pool, palm trees and colourful flowers.

The view with our breakfast. The selection for breakfast. The lake view from our balcony and the lake view from the terrace. The variety of comfortable outdoor seating arrangements.
