This elegant hotel overlooks Lake Garda, next to the port of Barbarano. You can relax in the lush garden and at the swimming pool with panoramic view.

At first, I wanted to rate this place 8 points, but when I tried the food, I added another point. This is exactly why I love Italy. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious, and the service was delightful. The same goes for breakfast, which was simply excellent. The room met our expectations, and the view from the window is stunning. The location is also perfect.
Hotel Laurin, housed in a beautiful Art Nouveau style villa from the early 20th century, is located just 5 minutes’ walk from Salo town centre on Lake Garda.

Villa Arcardio is an outstanding boutique hotel set in the hills above Salò on Lake Garda. The impression once gets as our taxi from the station wound up the steep cobbled drive to this ancient former monastery was almost like visiting well-off Italian relations for the first time. We had a wonderfully warm welcome as if we were long-lost family and were conducted to our lovely room which, incidentally had the remains of 14th century decorations on parts of the walls. The window overlooked the swimming pool and to the right Lake Garda over which the sun rose majestically and colourfully each morning. We were then shown around the premises and introducted to staff as we went round. We felt very much at home. The staff were kind, attrentive, helpful, delightful, friendly. It is well out of the bustle of the town. surrounded by olive groves and fruit trees with wooded hills rising behind (it is as good 40 minute but pleasant downhill walk into Salò - more effort getting back!). Sounds were not of traffic or late night revellers as you might expect in a town, instead could be heard the sounds of distant chickens clucking, wind in the trees, birds singing and at night, a chorus of frogs croaking (must be the mating season!). We saw the little green and black frogs on a couple of occasions while timid lizards basked in the sun on rocks. Eagles could occasionally be seen circling around the hills that form the backdrop to the premises. The whole villa has been very expertly restored without spoiling its historic character and is filled with antique furniture, clocks and other items very tastefully used. The food in the restaurant (whether breakfast, lunch or dinner) was extremely good. Suffice to say we were sad to leave and hope that we might stay again some day.
Set in the historic city centre on the lake front promenade of Salò, this 3-star hotel provides rooms with city views or with views of Lake Garda. The atmosphere of Hotel Benaco is warm and welcoming....

Salò is a nice, walkable town, close to other towns on Lake Garda. It’s a stop for several ferries, so you can visit other towns on the lake without driving. The lungolago is beautiful. You can walk the entire length of the golf of Salò.

Salo is a lovely town on the shore of Lake Garda, from which there is an excellent ferry service allowing access to most towns around the lake while an occasional service takes visitors to the private but beautiful Isola di Garda. The promenade is extremely pleasant on which well-dressed local people stroll. It is fringed with a range of restaurants to reflect all tastes and pockets. Narrow streets and alleyways and pleasant squares link the promenade to the town itself, which has a wide range of retail opportunities, an excellent museum, cathedral and other attractions that make it an interesting place to while away a day. Many people say that it is quieter than more 'touristy' resorts on the lake, and that suited us well. Of course the views across the lake to the distant show-topped Monte Baldo (accessible by cable car from Malcacene) are stunning, and the mood changes often depending on the weather. A decent sunset illuminates the mountain tops, often wreathed in cloud, in a stunning display of colour. A perfect place.

This property has everything a family could want, it’s on the 3rd floor but there’s a lift available if needed, it’s a stones throw from waterfront with plenty of restaurants to choose, there’s a mini supermarket 5min walk and bus stop is 10 min walk, only downside there’s no air con, would stay again.

Ideal location close to the lake and restaurants. 3 bedroom Apartment was very clean and facilities were in good working conditions. Parking ticket was given for a close parking lot.
The only thing to take note is that wifi was not very great and sometimes experienced poor internet connect, but it is not a deal breaker as we did not stay much in during the day. but this is something that can be easily improved.

It’s a very pretty lakeside resort with the most beautiful rustic buildings to discover via the narrow cobbled streets . Good selection of shops from designer clothing to tiny authentic coffee shops , deli , souvenirs and a pharmacy .
Excellent range of restaurants offering great value and local dishes typical of the area . Very friendly locals . Lots of areas alongside lake to sunbathe albeit on pebbles so take some thick soled diving shoes if you want to have a swim in the lake as you will find these pebbles tricky otherwise .
Lots of facilities for wheelchair users .
There is only the central car park which allows overnight parking all other parking areas are restricted to 8/9pm but a space can usually be had unless a specific event is on . Summer months will give you the opportunity to experience wonderful music events .
Boat trips are available to take you to other resorts around the lake but these are very basic ferries and journeys can be long .
Few English tourists mainly German /Austrian who do seem to take over restaurants /sun beds etc but it’s lovely to be amongst the locals and shop/ restaurant and bar staff are very efficient friendly and helpful .

It is a pleasant town, which is a bit touristy.
It is a pleasant town, which is a bit touristy. But you can find small oases where the local kitchen prepares magical food. The lake is lovely to swim in. You can quickly get to know Saló, but there are so many other excursion destinations that you can supplement your holiday with.
Absolutely phenomenal!!! Classy and elegant. A definition of a 5* hotel.
I loved the interior design with all the attention to details. Room was spacious with a large and comfortable bed.
We had dinner in the hotel restaurant couple of times and it was top level as well.
Additionally very conveniently located - in front of a beautiful marina and just in the heart of Salò. But it was quiet at the same time. Hotel parking was a big plus.
We loved everything about our stay there and will definitely come back.
Everything was absolutely perfect. The location is amazing the views are breathtaking from the rooms and the pool and garden area. Breakfast was very good plenty options available. We had dinner at the hotel twice and the food was outstanding both times. I have to mention Pietro he was a standout to my son and I nothing was ever a problem, he was super friendly and helpful. Salo is my favourite place on the lake so will be back for sure and will book here again.
Location is superb...right on the water! The staff are ALL so warm and welcoming. This was a wonderful gem of a hotel conveniently located to everything you want to do and see in Lake Garda. The hotel is relaxing and graciously decorated. Laura is so helpful...anything you need is quickly addressed with a smile. We also loved the breakfast, which was one of the best selections of our entire trip. You cannot find a better spot than the Hotel Vigna.
The welcome and check-in in Fontane Apartments last night was very smooth and warmhearted. I felt like at home straight. Oscar and his wife even brought me umbrella which I forgot to take with me. The apartment is extremely clean and i Love to be in such environment. The apartment is very pretty, very tastefully equipped, which I appreciate very much having an artistic eye myself. I can definitely recommend and will come back when again in Salo.
Erica is a real bomb - in a positive way, you cannot see this positive attitude too often these days. We got a better room when we arrived, breakfast was fantastic, hotel is placed in a good location, we got parking options for a very reasonable price. It was very good choice in my view. So - if you are considering to stay in Salo - give it a try and support local business where you can meet the owner and get his warm welcome.
The rooms are spacious, clean and have a fantastic view on the valley, view on lake garda on the way to the restaurant (a few minutes walk from the room), pool is nice and has both an indoor and outdoor area. Restaurant offers delicious fresh food. Note: be aware that the Eco Lodge is a bit off the grid. However, if you enjoy a quiet surrounding in nature and being a little secluded its a great place to stay!
This is a family run hotel and you get a warm welcome and great service. Nothing is too much trouble. It is clean and the rooms are spotless. Food and drinks service available to your liking. The pool is a real gem after touring the other sites around the lake, Luca arranged our taxi pick up and drop offs. We really couldn't have asked for a better first visit to lake Garda
I loved the property, smart living, well maintained with traditional decor yet modern equipments, Amazing view! incredibly nice host!! I checked out and checked in again a day after because I couldn’t feel as comfortable as I was at the property. If i ever plan to visit Italy again, this place will be the first to visit and live in!!
The hotel staff is super nice, caring, friendly . They made us feel the most welcomed guests and made our stay absolutely wonderful! Thank you from the bottom of the heart for your hard work and efforts you make every day!
Hotel has good wi-fi and free parking. It is located 2 minutes walk to the lake.
Very nice room with airconditioning! To our surprise it was a bed & breakfast. We didn’t expect to have breakfast included with our stay, so that was a plus. The bathroom was very new with a great shower.
Personally, I would recommend a car to reach the centre of Salo.
Awesome location direct on the water.
The only thing separating you from Lake Garda is the pedestrian walkway.
You have delicious breakfast or dinner with lake view.
We had a large modern room, with a nice bathroom and good working air condition.
This was one of the best hotel experiences. The staff really understand great service. the hotel itself is the perfect blend of history with modern conveniences. I felt like a famous Italian film star staying at a small 5 star hotel.
Great room with amazing views across Lake Garda.
Classic hotel which still feels stylish and tasteful. Great pool area and nice bar.
Extensive breakfast buffet with many options that would satisfy a lengthy stay
Location is great, a few minutes into the centre of Salo. The lake view room did have a great view and everything was very clean. The staff were also all very nice and happy. Also a good price for the view we had.
The hotel is really nice. The breakfast are perfect and you can also order fresh meals from eggs. I missed vegetables, but it is possible to order the plate of fresh vegetables.
