Very well equipped house, the kitchen had nice utensils and pots and pans and plates. The beds were extremely comfortable, the sheets were lovely and the bath towels and hand towels were very good quality. Nothing cheap about the place. it felt like a home that had been lived in and attention to many of the details was in evidence. It was not just a cheap rental with IKEA furniture.

Hotel Donatello is located in Padova historic center, in front of St. Anthony's Basilica, near the ancient Orto Botanico and Prato della Valle, one of the most beautiful squares in Italy.

Best location in Padua., IMO. Next to Bascilica of Saint Anthony, very close to botanical gardens, about 10 minute walk thru historic section to chapel with Giotto frescos, very short walk to university of Padua. A very elegant hotel with an elegant breakfast. Excellent housekeeping. The furnishings were very classic and upscale. Lift worked well. The staff were great with specific directions, answering questions, getting taxis, greeting you when coming and going, everything you would want in a classic hotel. One can walk to the train station. Great base for day trips to Vincenza and Venice. There was a marathon in town when we checked out and it seemed that no one could get a taxi to the train station due to blocked streets - however, the very pleasant man at the hotel front desk somehow, through much effort on the phone, managed to get us a cab although it seemed impossible at the time. Now that is great service!
From this clean, central and friendly 3-star hotel, you can walk to the railway station in just 5 minutes and catch one of the frequent trains to Venice.

The hotel is very good. The location is quiet and peaceful so you can sleep well. The beds were very comfortable. The room and the bathroom were nice and clean. They were well-equipped. The women at the reception were very kind, helpful and polite. I recommend staying in this place! Grazie!
The location of the hotel is excellent, with a short walk you can reach an excellent restaurant nearby. The room was extremely spacious, we did not expect such comfort. The breakfast was okay, nothing special, but everything you need for a morning meal.
