Nonetheless, what is lacking in terms of state-of-the-art facilities, is made up by the courtesy and professionalism of the staff, particularly the waiter and the chef. This was our favorite stay of all the places we stayed at on our last trip. The setting of this family hotel is on a hillside with a breathtaking view across the countryside to the Alps in the distance. The breakfast was superb with warm fresh homemade bread, local cheeses, meats, homemade jams, cereals, eggs and much more! The restaurant too was excellent! One patron I talked to had come over from another highly-rated hotel to eat in the Belvedere restaurant because the food was so outstanding. I look forward to visiting this small hotel again when we return.
