The hotel os located in the centre of the town close to all amenities. It is very clean and the staff were very nice and welcoming. For those who don’t speak Italian they speak very good English. The breakfast was wonderful.

This is such a quaint little village with unexpected...
This is such a quaint little village with unexpected treasures. The local church is amazing and we could have spent alot more time seeing it. We walked to the old town and loved every minute seeing the old charm. The best part is that this is not a touristy place so we never felt crowded. Wednesdays in April are not good when wanting a decent evening meal, very little choice but Friday night much better as everyone was open. Merizzi by the station on the corner of the main road does fantastic good.

We enjoyed wandering around the older parts of town. The cathedral was beautiful and open to view inside. The entire town is walkable, no need to hire a car. There was a variety of places to eat and drink. The location of the train station made it easy to come and go.

Tirano is a very nice town.
Tirano is a very nice town. It is very well connected with other parts of Italy by train. Also, the main attraction is the Bernina Express, which departs hourly from the Swiss Train Station, which is opposite the TrenItalia train station. I would recommend a day in Tirano, to get to know the town.HrothgarMexico

Great location close to the train station and a reasonable walk to the old town and also to the Santuario della Madonna di Tirano which is worth a visit. Check in for the hotel was at the Merrizi restaurant, which is also where the limited, but good quality breakfast was served. The staff on the reception in the nearby Stelvio hotel (who was handling the check-in for this property) was very friendly, we were staying there on Monday and Wednesday and they managed that we could stay in the same room and use the same entrance code, so there was no need for additional check-in and going to the reception once again.
