The location is full of waterfalls and breathtaking views of a river and mountains. Cleanliness is to be improved which is hard to maintain as we discussed with staff as close to a river and location in a tropical rainforest. We indeed enjoyed our stay. The staff was so friendly and the meals were of course delicious.

Good basic affordable accommodation. Staff really approachable and happy to help. Dinner was delicious and breakfast the same and very generous. The hidden extra here is the pool in the river just below the hotel which is clean for swimming a lovely surprise.

The Tree House is one of two and located in a fabulous jungle/tea estate setting. Morning bird walks were excellent, as were hikes down to the river at the bottom of the property, ideal for river baths. Great view from the Tree House (make sure to keep windows shut when not in the room - there are monkeys in the estate), and even better, no mosquitoes at night, so you can keep the windows open to let in invigorating mountain air.

If you have a vehicle with a driver, probably more practical for him to stay at the nearby town of Ginigathena. My driver was reluctant to drive the ~2km to his accomodation on the estate because of road conditions, which meant he had to call (and pay for) a 3 wheeler tuktuk whenever I needed him.

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this enchanting hotel for just one night, but the experience was so rejuvenating that it felt like we had spent an entire week on holiday. It was my birthday that day and they made sure that it felt very special. The massage was on of the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka, and the fresh, delicious food was a treat. The hotel's location is truly unique, nestled remotely right next to a stunning waterfall and surrounded by lush green forest. Moreover, the rooms were very comfy and clean, with a relaxing ambience and great design in mind. Thank you to the staff again for great hospitality!
