Palanga is Lithuania’s busiest seaside resort and is located on the Baltic Sea. However, it comes with a seasonal personality due to it being a peaceful paradise during winter before transforming into a dynamic party town in summer.
The town offers great sightseeing around the quiet forested sand dunes of Birutė Hill, the stretch of sandy beaches and the Palangas Botanical Garden that features the old Tiškevičiai Palace, home to the Amber Museum.
Palanga is forever reforming; this is evident in the lively heart of the city Basanavičiaus gatvė, a pedestrian street with a mix of traditional wooden and red-brick houses and contemporary shops, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs.
In summer be sure to check-out the list of events at the Open-Air Concert Hall, whilst Basanavičiaus gatvė Pier is a perfect starting point for a stroll or a cycle before seeing the sunset from the pier.
Booking.com offers a wide range of hotels and apartments in the heart of Palanga, Klaipėda, Šventoji and throughout Lithuania. Palanga Airport offers direct flights to Riga, Oslo, Moscow, and Copenhagen.

This was 4th or 5th time we have stayed at that place (Vila Saule). We like this location between Botanical Garden and Basanavičiaus (pedestrian) street, as it's very centered and takes just a few minutes to walk to the sea. The location is quiet and peaceful, but with all the nicest cafes and the most necessary shops right here. We have stayed in many different rooms (usually for 3 persons) on different occasions, and they were always super clean and had all the necessary equipment. The hosts are kind and helpful, so if you need any additional amenities, just ask them. Free parking is convenient. We look forward to coming here next year.

It's a very touristy, chic town with an amazing, miles long sand beach as well as an entertainment oriented city center.
If you're looking for a genuine picture of people living their live or want to connect with nature, this is not the town to visit.
But if you're looking to be entertained, party or relax on one of the nicest, cleanest beaches on the Baltic sea with all the amenities one could hope for, then Palanga has you covered.

Beautiful Baltic seaside resort city.
Beautiful Baltic seaside resort city. Town center is very cosy, compact and walkable. Lots of small shops and restaurants on the way to the beach. Great coniferous forest park area with walking trails along the seaside. Sandy beach is clean and can be accessed from all parts of the city. The pier and observation wheel definitely worth visiting. Not far away from the Dutchman's hat, but it worth taking the car or bike. Crowdy in the summer and peaceful throughout the rest of the year.

i have been going to palanga for 16 years there as not been much don to inferstukcher it lacks railway statin pavments are full of holes dont know what they spend pillow tax on .the main street to beach has not changed in 16 years . i would not eat food on that street as the cooks are not chefs . i would go to hotel to eat its ok for a drink in the many bars on that street . i wold not go in the summer as you want get on the beach . and another think its cheaper to go to spain as wee do but after september its ok .mots of the hotels are very tide now as they do not replace the old furnishings with new. as i have trid most of the hotels over the 16 years as my partner is lithuanian and i fly from uk evry mouth as she works ther and me in uk.
The place of the hotel is good, just a few meters away from main street.
Private underground parking is a bit small, but we managed to find 1 remaining parking slot at the time.
The room is also small, but it's enough for 2 people. The furniture is nice, the bed is comfortable, the room is clean, the bathroom is also fine and clean.
Breakfast was tasty, but the choice was poor. Very few choices - pretty much english breakfast ingredients and pancakes.
It's a cosy and well-planned apartment that has everything you need for a holiday. The beds were soft and comfy, we had good night's sleep after spending days outside. The apartment has a nice terrace that is great addition for warm summer mornings and evenings. Also there is a separate little space for arranging BBQs and meeting up with friends. The location of the apartment is great - close to the beach and the main streets of Palanga.
The location is pretty good. It's not right on top of the beach, but it's pretty close: maybe 15 minutes walk. There's a shop nearby, and also a couple of restaurants. The area around is under heavy development, so I wouldn't expect nice views for a couple of years at least, but the property itself is great. There's a big yard to chill in, spacious common room, big bedrooms, a couple of bathrooms. For 4 people it was excellent.
The bed was comfortable, the room was really spacious and had a decent size fridge inside each room.
There was a nice outdoor sitting place, shaded from the sun with vegetation. The place offers free parking (in the town where parking is paid virtually everywhere).
There was a shared kitchen for everyone to use, equipped with everything you might need, including free tea and coffee.
The host was great too.
What a strange, wonderful place. Only in Lithuania (or Eastern Europe) will you find such a combination of features; fine dining restaurant (world class),historical building, boutique hotel, rooftop cocktail bar w/live music. Location very interesting; close to all the action; promenade, beach, pier, bicycle trail, yet separate from everything, standing alone.
Wonderful location. Property was new so everything was clean and fresh. Bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed having a small balcony and refrigerator. Robes, slippers, tea, beach blanket, etc were provided. Parking space included. Loved having a market and restaurant choices next to the property.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here!
The hotel itself is located not far from the city, if you wish, you can rent bicycles and visit Palanga. The outdoor spa has several hot tubs where you can enjoy a cool drink and wonderful nature. The food was delicious, the only negative is that drinks must be ordered for a fee, coffee and tea are free only at breakfast.
Am amazing hotel, great location and friendly staff. We loved the pool and steam room. Breakfast was excellent. We had a family room very spacious. A great park and minutes walk to a fantastic beach. The outside space hammocks were perfect on a sunny day after sightseeing.
The room was wonderful with plenty of space for our group. The location is excellent, taking only a couple of minutes to reach the beach or the main strip. The hosts were very accommodating and took their time in ensuring our parking and room were taken care of.
SPA and mineral water pool is great! location in quiet area. we walked 30min in the forest to Palanga Center.
8th floor restaurant/lounge is a must! Roomy free parking. Very clean! 5min walk to sea. Affordable massages. Thailand style is recommended.
Location was good. There were many parking lots. Room was clean and cosy. Meals were very good and there were a lot of opitions. Cleaning was good and cleaners were friendly. Spa was very good. Sea was near to hotel and very beautiful beach also.
Very quiet location by the forest, away from city center. Simple and clean room with all the necessary amenities except electric hob was missing. Spacious parking lot, so you can always find a place for a car.
staff worth 5 stars, location - perfect, few hundred of meters from the see, breakfast - fantastic (Benedict eggs with sparkling wine), SPA - one of the best in Palanga, massages - marvelous
Very good location if you want to stay in a quiet part of Palanga and the Baltic Sea is also very close to the hotel. There is a big parking space near the hotel and it is for free.
Hotel was kind enough to let us park our car free of charge due to different room we got. Deluxe room photos on booking.com were different to actual room.
