We loved our stay at El Jardin. The place is beautiful, the staff are great and helpful. We especially appreciated the swimming pool in the hot May weather. The accommodation was great, with a bedroom and living room. We recommend this establishment 100%.

Just across the street from the Uxmal Pyramids, and a 40 minutes' drive from Merida. This historic resort offers an outdoor pool and a working plantation filled with fruit trees and jogging trails.

At the Uxmal archeological site. Big hotel. Our room (suite) was huge and comfortable. The pool was very pleasant. The restaurant of their sister property was just a few minutes walk.

Spent about 3 hours at Uxmal site.

Spent about 3 hours at Uxmal site. Lots of large sites to see and you can wander at your own pace. It was my favorite of the sites we visited on the trip. Tickets and entry could be clearer and signage at sites in Mexico is always lacking, but the quality of the ruins and architecture is fantastic. The scale, intimacy of the visit, and amount of ruins is superb.

To really get to experience Mayan culture, the near by towns and cenotes and more archeological sites I would recommend a week in Uxmal . I loved every minute we were there . I would also recommend having a much spending money as possible, not because things are expensive it is that there is so much to do and it will cost money . Horse riding , vintage 4WD hire , the prices for the sites and tours has risen due to the pandemic . Also supporting local artists .

We traveled by car because my older sister has specific food needs due to ALS. A blender, two boxes of food and a cooler were graciously hauled to and from our room by the hotel staff. They could not have been more accommodating and helped to supplement her diet with fresh food from the kitchen. It was my sister's fifth and probably final trip to the awe inspiring sites of the Yucatan. We are so grateful for the experience.

Uxmal charges US citizen 4 times regular admission.

Uxmal charges US citizen 4 times regular admission. Hotel Uxmal Maya charges 33% more for using US money or cards. Do not go if you don’t want to feel ripped off. Nothing special about hotel as at every turn you have to be guarded about being ripped off.

The location is 10/10. It could not be more convenient for visiting Uxmal first thing in the morning before the crowds arrive and the weather gets too hot. The hotel buildings are attractive and in keeping with the jungle surroundings. We liked the rustic chalet but it might not be to everyone's taste. Weirdly empty when we stayed in late July - there cant have been more than 20 guests in the entire hotel. But this meant for a very quiet stay and we had the pool to ourselves.

Beautiful historic hacienda surrounded by gorgeous tropical garden, pools, fountains and birds. Our room was upgraded to a beautiful suite with outdoor glassed in bathroom, stained glass windows and traditional elegant furnishings. Steps from the Uxmail ruins was a plus for our three-day visit. Wonderful breakfasts but no restaurant for dinner on site (5 minute walk away with plain food only.) Staff exceptionally friendly, helpful and efficient.

This is truly a spectacular property. It is in part historic but it is also a modern hotel with a lovely swimming pool and restaurant area. It is located directly across the street from the Uxmal ruins area, so it's only about a 10ish minute walk from the hotel to the Uxmal ruins entrance. The grounds are beautiful and you are far away from any noise or other hotels (except the neighboring lodge, which is differently lovely.)

The room was big and air condition worked well. That was especially important, so that the kids (5 and 8y) had room to play. The hotel was generally nicely done and the location across from the ruins was nice. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. There was a lot of tree seeds falling down, so you had to hurry to eat and drink you stuff, so it wouldn't be spoiled.

Hotel close to the Mayan site of Uxmal, but far from any city activity: the closest town (15 km) is Santa Helena. Difficult to eat somewhere in the evening except at the hotel. welcoming and friendly staff. free parking on site.
