The host was very friendly explaining everything upon arrival.
Location is a short walk into town with multiple supermarkets available and other smaller shops.
Coffee available in the communal kitchen is far better than normal instant you get in hotel rooms.
The room (room 5) was spacious with an attractive vaulted ceiling windows that fully open with great ventilation, and large comfy beds, great for relaxing in after busy days exploring, by far the best bed on our week long trip at multiple hotels.

My husband and I loved our stay here. We found the room very comfortable albeit a little dated however it was very homely and warm….i liked that. A couple of little things prevented me from giving full marks. The restaurant has a wonderful ambience and the service was excellent. The food was not, in my opinion, the best. I believe there is a new chef so Im sure it will be sorted. We would go back in a heartbeat and stay in this accommodation. The area gave me a feeling of calmness and relaxation. Parking was not a problem.

The house is really amazing and has an upscale feeling. The garden, the animals, the pool and other surroundings around the facility make it really outstanding. Our room was very comfortable with a small terrace to the garden. You should know that, this is a peaceful area & hotel with nature only around where you can sit and relax quitely. The facility is very responsive and helpful to the messages on booking . com which is very valuable.

The guesthouse was lovely, I really enjoyed the food in the restaurant with plenty of choice. The staff were friendly. There’s beautiful scenery and lovely walks. There is a lot of wildlife to see in the area with lakes and a small beach. If you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway with nature walks and good food I would recommend Horst.

A SMALLISH TOWN WITH VERY FRIENDLY PEOPLE ON THE DUTCH/...
A SMALLISH TOWN WITH VERY FRIENDLY PEOPLE ON THE DUTCH/GERMAN BORDER. GOOD SHOPS AND RESTAURANT FACILITIES AND NICE SAFE ATMOSPHERE. THE NEARBY LOCH MUSEUM OF AGRICULTURE AND HORTICULTURE IN THIS MUSHROOM AND ASPARAGUS-GROWING AREA IS WELL WORTH A VISIT. ALSO EASY TO VISIT NICE TOURIST PLACES SUCH AS MAASTRICHT AND DUSSELDORF. IT IS RATHER LIKE THE GEOGRAPHICAL KEY TO TRAVELLING INTO CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN EUROPE. IF YOU GET TO KNOW HORST AND IT'S PEOPLE YOU GET TO KNOW ALL THAT IS GOOD OF THE NETHERLANDS.

I am the owner of a 4-star hotel, and I must say that Graaf ter Horst exceeded my expectations. As someone deeply attuned to the intricate nuances of the hospitality sector, I pay meticulous attention to every aspect of a space and its environment. From the rooms to the staff, the restaurant, the garden, the location, and the overall architectural design, everything was truly exceptional! Furthermore, I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality of the beer they brew.
The Hotel is located near the motorway so very good but you don't hear it from the Hotel. Breakfast was outstanding with everything you could want. The room was one of the best I have ever been in, clean ,well equipped and very comfortable beds.
