Zwolle is a lovely vibrant friendly town, full of great bars, restaurants and shops and undoubtedly one of the best ice cream parlours I have ever visited. There are so many great spots, so much to do and it's so chilled.

Beautiful city.
Beautiful city. Excellent museum of modern art, de Fundatie. Beautiful bookstore inside an old church. The best cake and chocolates in the Netherlands at Bakkerij Lindeboom. Try my three favourites: Dark chocolate filled with 5-spice, dark chocolate with cardamom filling, and the milk chocolate filled with caramel and sea salt. Try the others too. Many are prize winning chocolates.

I was raining so we could not appreciate very much, but I am sure that the hystorical part of the city, for what I could have seen, is very interesting and charming. Very nice town with a lot of nice places where to stop for a drink of a coffee and good for shopping. The center is almost all pedestrian and it's perfect for a nice walk in this historical town from Overijssel.

I use Zwolle as a stopping point and each year on my way to Assen, I explore a little bit more through the narrow streets within the island. There are some fabulous places to eat and chill, its a lovely place.

Even though it was in the city centre we didn't experience a lot of noise which was great. We were there on a Wednesday in July which is a popular day/night as it is Zwolle's Blauw Vinger Dag. We didn't know about that but it was fun; lots of market stalls, bands singing and performing etc. The weather was fab too. I would recommend.AndyUnited Kingdom

When we arrived we were greeted and everything was shown to us, the hosts were very welcoming and friendly. For the cold weather there was even an AC in the room, that came in very handy after being out in the cold in rain to warm up. The hosts had even prepared a little guide to where we could go and eat, something to see and some facts about Zwolle, which was very lovely and came in handy.

The host offered to pick us up at the train station, even I was able to let her know only one hour ahead. She made the house clean and cozy, provided great breakfast and even was willing to drive us to Giethoorn and picked us up there after our journey! If I go back to Zwolle again, I defintely will stay at Westenholte B&B again! And I will recommend the place to all my friends!
