Nothing comes to mind, even the $90 we paid were over the top for such a disappointing place.

Pleasant stay in a tiny but well-equipped unit. Host was very welcoming, and her wee garden a delight. Ripe cranberries free for the picking went down nicely with icecream bought from nearby shopping centre,

A lovely relaxing small town to stop and stay in to break up journey if travelling between Queenstown and Christchurch - family friendly, everything in walking distance, nice cycleways, Barkers of Geraldine cafe and store is amazing too.

Pretty place in all seasons.
Pretty place in all seasons. Has interesting museums to visit. (And a gin distillery) Unfortunately as we stayed overnight on a Sunday all the museums we were looking forward to were closed on a Monday. The Gin distillery was also closed due to unforeseen circumstances. Shopping and browsing in shops was a delight. Apart from one very brusque retail assistant in The Page and Post Booksellers, everyone else we encountered in shops and art galleries was friendly, welcoming and made the experience a pleasant one. Special shout-out to the lovely hairdresser who agreed to cut my husbands hair without a booking!

Since leaving Oldfields in Geraldine, my husband realises that he has lost his prescription sunglasses and as Oldfields was our last accommodation in NZ, he is enquiring if he left these glasses at the property?
Could you please enquire on his behalf it that is the case.
We do not have owners Sue and John Jensen’s email address so we cannot contact them directly.
You assistance would be appreciated.

Geraldine is a charming small town.
Geraldine is a charming small town. Check out Barker's Food Store and the Susan Badcock Gallery over the old Post Office. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the Peel Forest and its area of unspoiled native bush is a treasure, especially for its native bird life and 1,000 year old trees. There are many delightful restaurants and cafe´s in the area. Try the Cafe´Verde in Geraldine or the Woodbury Store Cafe´. Both are excellent. Geraldine is definitely a place to stop for a couple of days if you like mountain biking or hiking.

What a lovely wee town.
What a lovely wee town. I spent some time there because of family history reasons. Did some day trips to coast & surrounds, as well as some walking. The people were very friendly & helpful. Lovely quiet place to stay. Didn't really trial any restaurants apart from the Crowne Hotel where I stayed, & that didn't suit my palate.

The motel was great, I was on my way to Wanaka but wanted to break the journey and watch the All Blacks. I did that and the hosts assisted me given I was running late and I enjoyed a big brunch in mid morning just up the road which was great. So a fleeting visit but most enjoyable stay in Geraldine.
Where do we begin. The home is quiet, the master suite was spotless, modern, clean, and private. The host and hostess were gracious, friendly, accommodating and made us feel at home in Geraldine. We had only one night, but could have spent several more if we had the chance. The landscaping of the grounds made this place a paradise. The furry animals that roam the place added a nice homey touchy. Loved River and Misty! We would return to this hidden gem of a place.
This place is absolute paradise. Quiet, private and beautiful beyond compare. Just remembering my time here makes me well up with happy tears. I don't think I have ever been so relaxed than as during the nights I stayed at Nga Whare Manatu. This was the best location I stayed at in all of New Zealand and I just can't say enough positive stuff about this place. It sounds ridiculous but you'll go and you'll see and you'll say, "Oh, I get it."
Extremely happy with what was provided, we came in very late and checked out very early but they provided everything we needed and more. In some towns, we probably would've been kicked out (or not let in). I've never seen such great attitude and understanding from a host elsewhere in New Zealand. It may not be the fanciest or flashiest of hotels, but the service you get here trumps everything else. Again thank you for hosting us.
Couldn't fault this stay.Everything had been thought of down to the very last detail.Beautiful place, inside & out.Peaceful, farm outlook, lovely gardens, close to Geraldine for dinner& an amazing breakfast supplied to have at your leisure.Exceptional couple who run this guest stay,& a most interesting museum of tools, farming machinery, from bygone days.We loved our stay here.Hoghly recommended.
Everything was AMAZING! Beautiful accomodation, exceptionally clean, very comfortable. Beautifully restored building. Recommend the dinner and breakfast platters. Great location in Geraldine, we could walk everywhere we needed. Loved the complementary wine and port and free product from barkers.
Fiona was an excellent host. Location very central to Geraldine town. Very clean & cosy unit and It's right next to an 'On the Spot' convenience shop very useful. Off street parking which was great as stayed there during Geraldine Garden Festival weekend. Would stay there again for sure 😃
Welcoming manager upon arrival. Friendly staff encountered following morning.
I love that after years of coming to geraldine i have found a stayover i can and will return to. The well equipped kitchen was fantastic with everything needed for a serveral day stay.
Vinnie and Sarah have a beautiful home overlooking farm land. The gardens that Sarah maintains are beautiful. You are welcomed with snacks and true "Southern Hospitality." The home is near Geraldine, NZ. Beautiful town. We truly enjoyed our stay ❤️.
Beautiful old house decorated in the turn of the century furnishings with many unique little touches. Just up the hill from the centre of Geraldine. The owner was delightful and very accommodating.
Owner allowed change of plans gracefully. Sent detailed instructions as was arriving late. Cabin was warm as snow fell on the way to Geraldine. Shower was hot.Nice compact campground.
Actual Name of hotel is Crown Heritage, had a problem locating cos it’s different name. Location is convenient but its a super small town, all within walking distance
