Huge room, nicely decorated, super comfy beds in #19! Check in was easy, recommendation for breakfast was spot on at Elixir Cafe on Devon St. Sunday open Market was fun with a live band. The beach cliff walk is amazing too. Thank you front desk Mgr.

We loved the location of the Millimium being waterfront and so handy to great cafes shops boutique breweries amd galleries which all we tried were found to be exceptional. Plus we loved the direct access to the board walk to the port past an impressive swimming pool complex then later walked along the pathway in the other direction the Fitzroy beach which had a cafe and outdoor setting on the beach. The whole city seemed safe and attractive and a great place to visit and probably a great place to live.

Good sized room and ensuite.
Good sized room and ensuite. All absolutely spotless and very comfortable. Useful facilities.
Nicely positioned off the main road so nice and quiet but close enough to walk to shops and restaurants. Not too far to coast with beaches and coastal path. Friendly and helpful owner with a good knowledge of area and enthusiasm when recommending things to see and do.

At first wasn’t too sure about New Plymouth but the more we walked around the city the more we liked it. It’s a very tidy city with lots of amazing murals painted on buildings, tidy and clean with every shop you could think off. It is handy to the foreshore and a beautiful walkway and within a few hundred metres from beautiful Pukekura Park on other side of township, a must visit.

Modern, spacious common areas with quirky art works. We had a great apartment which had been recently renovated & it was by far the best room we’ve had in our 2 week travels of NZN. The staff were welcoming & friendly, especially the lovely guy on reception. Good laundry facilities too. The restaurant was excellent for both dinner & breakfast. Didn’t have high expectations about New Plymouth but was pleasantly surprised, it’s a beautiful city & well worth a stopover on the west coast.
I got to the payment stage and did NOT receive the 6 digit number to complete. I therefore came out of the request and booked another hotel. I went into Millenium at New Plymouth and was told nothing could be done until Tuesday when the managers could authorise a refund. Today, 17th, I have not received any contact or refund.
The hotel is really well positioned right opposite the wind sculpture and walkway and close to the museum, library, shops, cafes/bars and art gallery. The hotel give you free passes to the aquacentre. The restaurant is cosy with great food and very nice service. The receptionists were very helpful.
Just a short drive/walking distance to some scenic spots in New Plymouth. There's a bakery and takeaway food nearby about 250meters away. Place looks old but functional with own stove, microwave, ref, electric kettle, fan, heater and kitchenware. Comfortable bed. Good water pressure.
The boutique hotel is located in the Centre of New Plymouth and is decorated with great taste. the staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. The room is not huge but the layout is good. Great water pressure from the shower. The restaurant downstairs serves good breakfast.
We stayed her to the NZ Triathlon. I've never been to New Plymouth before and this hotel was perfectly located with everything we needed. I had to do some work so the wifi was super efficient and the separate room meant my son and I had our own space.
Easy checkin. My room was on an upper floor but there was easy access via a lift. Bed was comfy and shower was good. Hotel is a little tired, but very functional. Got a great deal for the one night we stayed, which was exceptional value for money.
Fantastic value compared to a standard "nice" room in a hotel, you got a luxury apartment with all the bells & whistles. Spa bath double shower, electric reclining sofa, kitchen, 50 channels of sky, your own carpark ... the list goes on.
Really great experience. The units were so warm and welcoming, loved the wood. Beds were so comfy, best we’ve experienced!! Property was so clean, offered room service daily if required! Excellent choice for staying in New Plymouth.
Love the friendly staff and how clean and spacious the units are .
This is our fourth stay at the metrotel and we keep coming back as it has great off street parking and close to everything we enjoy in New Plymouth!
The House on the Hill was absolutely perfect. The view was impeccable and the room was very clean. The hosts take so much pride in their place and it shows. Would definitely recommend for your stay in New Plymouth!
Our room was spacious and clean. We came from another hotel after our stay took and unpleasant turn and I booked here for 1 night.
The rooms were beautiful and clean. Definitely going to stay here again soon!
Walkable to town centre, local parks, easy access to roads out of New Plymouth.
Room was spacious, kitchen was fit for purpose and adequately supplied with utensils and crockery. Fridge was quiet.
This place is beautiful and has all you need. Beds are comfortable and cooking facilities are great. Clean. Beautiful view. Lovely walk on the beach when the tide is out. Close to New Plymouth.
The staff very helpful and friendly
