Breathe Inn, hotel in Victoria Valley

Located in Kaitaia in the Northland region, Breathe Inn features a patio and mountain views.

A cute little tiny home, very private and very compact. OK for an overnight stay but would be very confining for longer as no storage room for anything.

Victoria Valley was very central for exploring Northland.

Victoria Valley was very central for exploring Northland. We travelled in all direction from where we were staying and enjoyed coming back to Victoria Valley at the end of the day. The quality of all the roads was impressive and certainly much better than we experience in Auckland! Several of the walking tracks were closed due to the winter season and Kauri Dieback. Kaitaia is the closest for food supplies (20mins). The tourist information centre in Kaitaia is amazing. the building itself is impressive, the history, museum, library and cafe. The staff in the centre were incredibly helpful and informative. It is worth heading here first to help plan the rest of your stay. Kerikeri Sunday markets were fabulous especially the Packhouse (1hour) and from there you can do a wonderful road trip around the northeast coast back to Victoria Valley. Kaikohe was fabulous for hiring cycles and sampling the Twin Coast Cycle Trail (40mins) The Karikari peninsular is well worth a trip and again did not take long to get to. Good healthy restaurants were few and far between so unless you want deep fried most things stay somewhere with a kitchen and self cater. Gecko cafe in Kaitaia was good for a lunch and snack.
