The bed was comfortable, and although the rooms are not soundproof, the hotel is surrounded by a large park, so it is relatively quiet. The decoration of the hotel is very tasteful, and for being an older property, it is well maintained. A special mention to the staff: they made it a truly unique and enjoyable experience. When we had a problem with the water in the bathroom, they promptly sent a person to fix it. When we asked to change the shampoo and soap devices, they did it as soon as possible. We asked for extra complimentary bottled water and they provided that. We wanted to use the jacuzzi of the hotel, but because of maintenance, they offered us to use the jacuzzi in a suite. Due to a delay with the availability of the suite, they offered complimentary room service and let us stay as much as we wanted in that suite.

After travelling on an overnight bus and arriving in the early hours of the morning, Casa De Avila was a dream to check into with its large comfy bed and hot shower to help us relax. Hotel was perfect for our needs. We arrived at 5.30am and luckily for us the room was ready and the guy on reception let us check in, we are really grateful for that. Location was close to a main road so it was easy for bus/tour pick ups and easy walking distance to the main square. Each night they would ask what time we would be having breakfast, on both occasions were leaving early 4/5am and so they had take away lunch packs ready for us when we were leaving!
