It’s such a tranquil stay with crystal Titcaca water few meters away and beautiful mountain at the background. It’s also a unique experience of local’s life. Guido is a thoughtful and genuine host. Sarah cooks amazing meals. The kids are lovely! At the garden there are fresh veggies and farm there’s even an alpaca! Just mind that you need to be an hour on taxi from Puno to get there but it’s worth it. Also, if you suffer from altitude sickness, maybe tell them to cook less fried food. The fried dough in the morning are delicious, but also the boiled veggies and quinoa soups!

The location is simply beautiful, tranquil and very close to the lake. You can easily walk to the nearby village centre to buy basics like water, etc.
Our room had a good view which will be gone soon as they are building more houses and they will obstruct it.
Jesús was extremely helpful and trying his best to make our stay perfect. He recommended local hiking trails and always checked if everything is okay.
You can hire a Kayak which we did, as well as a sailing boat to visit Taquile Island.

This hotel is authentic, our triple room had flair and was overlooking the yard. The couple taking care of us was very warm and accommodating, especially with the meals, as it was one vegetarian person in the family.
We stood 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The food was every day different and plenty. The price for the meals is different, it depends if it is vegetarian, it contains cheese, or fish or meat.
Lake Titicaca is a flight of stairs away an there is a nice beach and clear water to take a dip (water temperature 10-12 degree).
There are nice walks on the hills nearby to viewpoints and small ruins.

The host / owner was super friendly and helpful, and warned up about upcoming blockades on the road. He was accommodating towards our need to leave super early to try and beat the blockades (we failed, but wasn't on him). Rooms were enormous, and dinner and breakfast can both be had here. I loved the super hard beds but they won't be for everyone.

Everything. Joel and his family were from a kindness that is not often experienced. We loved the room, which was so tastefully furnished, breakfast was amzing and the views were breathtaking.
We really enjoyed our stay at Luquina. The service was very personal, we went on a tour to the floating islands with Guido and no one else. The whole family was lovely, the food was great. When we had to leave very early Guidos wife made us a very early breakfast. The room was lovely with an amazing view, hot water bottles at night was a really nice touch. Would definitely recommend this place to stay for a quiet break.
