Nice hotel in a little village/town, out of sight parking for our motorcycles, no lifts in the hotel, so had to carry our stuff to the top floor, not an issue for us, but maybe for some. room was of a nice size along with the bathroom. Breakfast was a nice fresh varied selection. Local supermarket so was able to purchase a picnic evening meal and then sit in the hotels courtyard, as the hotel has no restaurant.

Stayed here for one night and wish we could have stayed longer. This is a wonderfully clean and comfortable house. It was really comfy beds and all the things you would need for a short stay. The location is perfect for exploring the streets of Moura and can walk to anywhere in the town from here. Would highly recommend.

Passagem do Sol is a very welcoming place to stay . Lovely town, we walked a lot, nice parks, friendly people, nice places to eat especially O barranquenho. Ideal town for exploring and for a trip to Alqueva dam.

Very nice and small town located less than 2 hours by car...
Very nice and small town located less than 2 hours by car East of Lisbon and with extremely friendly inhabitants. The historic part of the town (Mouraria) is very nice, with its cobbled, narrow streets. In the Summer, the Amieira Beach, on the banks of the Alqueva Lake (the biggest man-made lake in Europe) is well worth it. The beach is around 20 minutes drive from Moura. There are a dozen other beaches. There's also several boat companies offering all kind of shorts trips around the lake. Alentejo's main export are its wines. The hotel occupies a grand old mansion full of beautiful features. Staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfast is plentiful and served in a lovely room overlooking a leafy square. It was our second time there, and we're hoping to return before too long. A real old style marvel of a place! And they also provided secure indoor storage for our bicycles.BrittaIreland
