Nice quiet town with medieval fortress, situated near the largest city in the region, Brasov, with its beautiful Old Town, and near Bran Castle. A car is recommended for getting around, although train and bus links are available daily for Brasov. Situated between mountain ranges, with lots of hiking trails in the area. It's a great accommodation option if you want to go skiing, with nearest resorts in Poiana Brasov and Predeal. Very nice little town. Good connection with Brasov. We have taken lunch and dinner at Promenada (very good food and if not too busy good service). We have survived Dino Park twice :)), a wonderful place, with a quite expensive souvenir shop. Rasnov is a small city know mostly for the Citadel. If you plan to visit you should know that the Citadel is closed for the moment due to restauration and you cannot visit the interior courtyard, but you can still go ahead and see the citadel's entrance and the Dino Park.RamonaeuRomania - 8.0Scored 8.0

Rasnov is a good place to stop for a night or two. Visit the fortress, the cave, the Bran castle nearby, enjoy a lunch at the Sergiana restaurant, and recharge your batteries for your next stop in Transylvania.

Cute. Lift for citadel was fun.
Cute. Lift for citadel was fun. And there is a restaurant which was like 100 m away from the Radsor Hotel which is not on Google maps and it's perfect. Food incredible and staff wonderful. I think name is Terrace but I am not sure I just know location.

Very large room with nice mountain view (we had the junior suite). Also the hotel has a wild west saloon like restaurant, very nice design. The terrace of the restaurant is very nice with lovely mountain view. Comfortable bed, nice staff, very helpful. Good food in the restaurant.IRINARomania

I liked the apartment, very cozy for a family of four (2 adults, a 6 and a 16 year old). The communication with the host was also great and I have really enjoyed being able to retrieve the keys with no contact. I enjoyed also the quietness in the rest hours. Besides the 5 star facility the host helped me with everything to make my stay in Romania as a foreigner the best experience! It was far from the noise and crowd, surrounded by trees, but also suficiently close to Rasnov or Brasov. There's a hammock and a swing chair on the terrace. It had a small kitchen, but also barbecuing options close by. Will definitely come again, when in the area.
