Zalau is a small but charming town, its surrounding areas...
Zalau is a small but charming town, its surrounding areas being absolutely amazing landscapes. We had a tour of the churches, very spiritual and beautifully decorated. The locally grown food is excellent, as the locally distilled plum brandy, which is no. 1 in the country. It's also close to the city of Cluj, just 2 hours drive, so this could be made into a tandem visit.DianaBelgium - 8.0Scored 8.0

"Multicoloured" city, lot of differences among people. Also city itself, architecture etc. is very various. In hills next to Zalau is located ancient Roman city Porolissum - a short trip, it´s worth to see it.AlešCzech Republic

The spa was well maintained and equipped (don't expect a large spa, this is a small, cosy hotel). We really appreciated that there was a swimsuit dryer in the spa's dressing room. The hotel restaurant was really pleasant, the food was nice and the staff was helpful and attentive. The room was spacious and clean. No complaints, we liked our stay.
