Comfortable bed, super nice bathroom, great to have a closet to hang clothes. We only stayed one night, and had to get up early the next morning, so we didn't get to enjoy the little balcony, but that was a nice touch.

What we liked the most was securing the hotel lobby entry doors at night, requiring you to have your room key card to enter. This made us feel safe.
However, on departure day I forgot my new black jacket in the room either hanging in the closet or left on the bed. It was purchased in Seattle, during the first part of our trip Nov 1 - 15, because the weather was sooo cold. Upon reaching home I called the hotel while unpacking and discovered it missing. I spoke to the Manager of the Front Office who informed me he will check with the Housekeepers that serviced our room and would call me back. As of today Dec. 12, 2022 Matt has not called back. No one answers when I called the hotel (510-849-1121) several times since checking out. This is very disappointing. I hope someone looks into this and provides an update to me.

Very large sized bathroom. I enjoyed the bathroom very much!
Very large sized bathroom. I enjoyed the bathroom very much! My booking said breakfast included. There was none. Not just this motel/hotel, many are renovating, and quiet enjoyment is not good. But did get some rest around 7 pm. The person above me was a heavy walker/ stomper. Even still, I would choose to come back again, because of the size of the bathroom.

Beautiful city with dirty streets.
Beautiful city with dirty streets. Compared to Boston or Cambridge, the city is clearly not doing enough to address unhoused people, especially those suffering mental illness. Their presence is apparent on sidewalks throughout the city. So too is trash, discarded papers, garbage and generally disorder that could at least be ameliorated with decent temporary housing, daily expanded sidewalk cleaning and leasing of dozens of boarded up businesses (even temporarily to artists, etc).

Enjoyed our stay in Berkeley.
Enjoyed our stay in Berkeley. Went there for our son's graduation and had a few days to walk around. We visited the campus, my husband and son went running and we had a nice dinner at Chez Panisse Bistrot (had to make the reservation THE day they opened up the reservations on-line) to celebrate. Lots of food options near the hotel, getting around Berkeley is easy. It was fun seeing the graduates.

I loved Berkeley and it’s beautiful greenery and views.
I loved Berkeley and it’s beautiful greenery and views. The food options are endless and the casual shopping is so much fun. There is so much to see in the town and on Cal campus. The surrounding areas offer a variety of activities and vistas.
everything about this place was dreamy and enchanting. Bonus points if you are a fan of history and architecture.
The Pool was gorgeous, perfect temperature and so relazing. The breakfast (included) was also one of the best I have ever had at a hotel in the US in awhile, with an entire spread of gluten free options. The staff was friendly, helpful, and warm and made us feel like family. The area was also great being so close to the UC Berkely campus.
one of my favorite stays in the last 3 years by far! I will def be returnign.
The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The room was a great value for the price--very clean and great small amenities (coffee maker in room, fridge and microwave, iron and ironing board). The hotel is located right in front of a bus stop that made it easy to get back and forth around Berkeley with plenty of solid dining options nearby.
We loved the property and the staff were so nice, helpful and wonderful. We had a great experience from arriving at the hotel, to check in, dining at the restaurant, getting a drink at the bar and to check out. The staff gets an A+. Thank you for making our stay perfect. We will definitely stay again in the near future.
Price and location. Over all is a good place to stay in Berkeley. Bathrooms def got remodeled and looked good and clean. Bed is okay as well as pillows it is not a 5 star hotel at the end. Free parking def attractive. 15 minutes to downtown SF and Embarcadero without traffic. with traffic it's about 30 minutes or so.
The hotels location was convenient. Not too far from Berkeley campus which was the reason for our visit. The rooms were spacious and had a working AC..which is a plus! We had to walk for dinner to a nice little spot called Las Cabañas right around the corner. The food and service was amazing!
they were very kind and attentive in everything we need! We feel at home! The rooms are large and comfortable. The region is very silent, in addition to being wonderful. The hotel is close to several restaurants, supermarkets and pharmacies.
Location is perfect. Love going down to the Cafe in the morning and taking with the people. Love walking Berkeley. Room are consistent and comfortable. A little aged, but nice. Lots of good restaurants nearby.
Location was convenient but this hotel needs mechanical attention. Electrical plug ins were questionable. Heat/AC unit nonfuntional and had to move rooms for a working unit. Breakfast was basic but enough selections.
Great location and the room was clean and exceeded my expectations. Hotel manager Sam was very nice and accommodated my parking request. I would recommend and would book again.
finally a real breakfast with hot dishes, not plastic plates anymore. great location with a perfect view of the Golden Gate Bridge. nice hiking trial just behind the hotel
