This hotel is the best choice in Carpinteria. Over time it has become a hotel that one can see has good management. The little pool is nice for a cool off and the proximity to restaurants is great. They have good breakfasts and the bedrooms are well laid out, with comfortable beds.

Clean. We had a room away from the road and it was quiet. It is fine for a night. Fine for the price in America (expensive for what you get but fair for California).

When I visit my daughter and grandson in Santa Barbara, I like to have my privacy so I stay here. The dog and i can walk to the beach boardwalk in 20 minutes. There's the tasty burger shack where we share! There are bathrooms. On the way to the beach you will find restaurants and shops. The old doggie is in a nice-sized stroller, so we can bring back goodies.
Right next door to the Motel 6 on Carpenteria Street is a grocery store, dollar-type store, and Goodwill too!
Have fun!

We have stayed for years on Thanksgiving.
We have stayed for years on Thanksgiving. We love the hotel, but this year I asked for a disabled room and although the shower tub was much lower my husband still had a hard time. We needed a roll in shower.

Like I said in the past I love carpenteria Carpenter is great only thing I can't stand about motel 6 over here south, they allow the sheriffs to just drive up in the parking lot and that's against the constitutional rights of the hotel and it's guests (Private Property).. sheriff should not be on the property unless called not driving through the lot looking at people's cars and stuff that's that's against the constitutional rights.. but other than that the carpenter with South motel 6 is my store that's why I like to go, should have more American maids and all that I understand the Mexican thing and all but a lot of them don't understand English man tell me I should I should understand Spanish no no this is America you should understand English 99% of the guests understand English...

A good suburb of Santa Barbara with good restaurants, beach and grocery shops. A 10-15 minute drive on motorway to Santa Barbara where there is good parking options in the back streets - mostly 90 mins. We managed free parking all day by moving to different areas for our site seeing. Cost if accommodation better value than Santa Barbara but you will need to drive that is the compromise. We ate at the Italian and the Thai restaurant, both were excellent.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Carpenteria! Beautiful little beach town.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Carpenteria! Beautiful little beach town. Good restaurants. Perfect beach and places to walk/hike. We could walk everywhere (beach, restaurants, stores) in town. The fact it’s a short drive to Santa Barbara and Ventura is a bonus. Did not want to leave at all. As a family we agreed we want to make it an annual trip. Carpenteria was exactly what we needed.
This place is a gem, the staff was so kind and so sweet. The rooms are so clean it feels like a little family. The restaurant is the best food I had in a while. The scallops were so good, the best I ever had. The bed was so comfortable we slept great, my son said this was the best be he ever slept on from a hotel.
The only one suggestion is that around the pool area they should clean the concrete lots of poop from the birds. Truly a little gem getaway.
Zero communication from the hotel after two text an email and voice mail requesting check in 230. Check in was at 3 and our room still was not clean at 255The room furnishing were scratched Up. Only one wash cloth for two people. Our room was next to loud apartments Home lady in the parking lot. A bunch of live in residents in the motel. All around the the experience was worse that a motel 6 with a room rates that was twice as much.
The continental breakfast was fine—the eggs, bagels, cereal were fresh and the coffee cakes just baked. My husband, who is a coffee aficionado, really loved the coffee. People who enjoy old-style California hotels, ocean-side pool swimming, responsive and cheerful staff, a really terrific restaurant next door and a good night’s quiet sleep, will love their stay too.
Excellent location, close to Santa Barbara. We visited the local beach hich was a 10 minute
walk away and were able to see the seals.
We loved this hotel , it was family friendly, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi. Great breakfast which was included in the price.
Great location for Carpinteria and the price was just right for an overnighter. The room was clean and the employees were very friendly. The towels could use an update - a little thin and small for coverage. Otherwise, great place to stay near the town's excitement.
Motel 6 South in Carpinteria is our "go to" for Carp. The facilities are clean, and the location is premium. We park our vehicle and bike all around town. The beach, restaurants and shopping are all very accessible in Carpinteria.
The room has recently been updated and was very comfortable and clean. We had both dinner and breakfast in the hotel, which was actually really nice, albeit a little quiet. The location was perfect for exploring Carpinteria.
Check-in time was fast. Quite many parking spaces available. It’s a good place to stay one night while doing a roadtrip. There are several places to have breakfast 10 minutes driving (in Carpinteria).
I love how clean and nice it was it was actually better than I expected the hotel was nice the only thing was the parking but other than that the beds were comfortable would 100 percent come back
proximity to beach and restaurants
nice enclosed back deck
easy to find
kitchen seemed well stocked although we didn’t do any cooking
owner very quick to respond
pet friendly
The location is good. The breakfast was tasty and with a lot of options. The fact that is a pet-friendly hotel is a big plus, we were able to enjoy the location with ourYorkie.
It was easy and no fuss. Close to the center of Carpinteria and shops.
Loved the 2 double beds! My mom and I had all the space we needed to sleep off our jet-lag.
