This is a great place to stay. The decor is dated, but the room and bathroom were amazingly clean, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Location is just off the highway. We will be making this one of our stops in the future.

I only spent a short time in Hillsville, but it was very beautiful there. Most of the people I met there were very nice. We ate dinner at Toasters Deli. What a great find! The sandwiches were delicious. My BLT had thick bacon, fresh tomato and lettuce and a wonderful sourdough bread. My husband had the American sub. We also had a snickerdoodle cookie that was warmed for us. Delicious! We for there only 30 minutes before they closed, but they welcomed us. Hillsville, the town was okay.
Hillsville, the town was okay. Only issue was the Motor Lodge. We had a nice meal at Fiddlers Restaurant. Enjoyed looking and riding up and the three main roads around, other than I-77. Drove down to Fancy Gap one day and over to Galax another. Very quiet area!RozeannUnited States - 10Scored 10
This is not a luxury hotel.
This is not a luxury hotel. I tried it once because of good reviews a few years back. It is dated but who cares. I just want a clean comfortable room with a refrig and micro and this is great. TV is great and good list of channels after a long drive. I have stayed here multiple times every year now while traveling. Hillsville is a blue collar town that is not thriving- a lot of closed down or run down places. We did find a good dinner place - Perfect Pizza It served a variety of foods, offered gluten free pizza and staff were very pleasant and hard working. It had a large dining room as well. It had quite a few gas stations and a cvs. You need a car to get around,at least from our motel location.judyUnited States

I believe it had been remodeled, was very well appointed for the small space, and was very comfortable. Very clean and comfortable. We frequently stay in various Hilton Hotels, and we have paid far more at others that were only half as nice. I would have given this a 5 star except for the fact the woman serving breakfast was somewhat rude.

Found a really good Mexican restaurant a few miles from the hotel, There are two with the same name, same owner (we asked our waitress), but the one a little further way looked like better ambiance.
