Know the area from past visits to our storage unit and friends. Within hour of NYC and allowed us to escape the extreme heat and possible blackouts. Many restaurants and gas statio in the area . Located just at the start or end of the NYS Thruway.

Mahwah is a small quaint town but is bustling.
Mahwah is a small quaint town but is bustling. The people here are very courteous and friendly. The only negative is that there were no easily accessible shopping malls but there were a few stand alone department stores just no one stop shopping experiences. When he saw us in the hotel throughout the week, he checked with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Excellent customer service! The lady who was in charge of the breakfast buffet was wonderful. She greeted us each morning and was very attentive to keeping the breakfast items stock up each morning.

Substance abusers, prostitutes and immigrants are living in these hotels. When they see an African American, they presume you're a prostitute and start pandering for sex. Most of the staff are immigrants. They condone and support the behavior as a part of their discriminatory harassment.
