We traveled with a group of people for a bike-focused trip. The cottages with their porches made getting our bikes in and out every day very easy. There was plenty of room to store our gear and still enjoy space. We stayed in a King Luxury Cottage with a full kitchen that was very clean and well stocked with the essentials. The bed and pillows were all very comfy. I liked the blinds that opened from top or bottom, letting us have light without exposing ourselves to the world. Water pressure and temperature was great in the bathroom. We didn't use the fireplace but it was well stocked with great-smelling wood. The free snack bar was awesome. It was nice having a large communal table in the BBQ area for our big group. Some of our friends took advantage of the hot tub and said it was nice.

Breakfast hours too late for an early start. 7am would be more accommodating. The ice machine was not working, just a note out of service. Maybe not the biggest inconvenience but to me was more important than “sorry”

Pacific Grove is much more laid back than Monterey but it's hard to tell the boundary. Most of the lodgings are one or two story max and are great for families or groups. It's a great location if you want to ride/drive on 17-Mile Drive and head down to Carmel or go up to Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf and even beyond up to Ford Ord Dunes. There are so many wonderful places to eat ranging from quick food to gracious dining.

Pacific Grove is a much nicer and quieter place to stay than Monterey. Plenty of restaurants and easy walk to beach. Particularly like La Mia Cucina Italian and Beach House. Nice walk along the coast to see seals resting.

We loved Pacific Grove.
We loved Pacific Grove. The downtown is charming, the two restaurants we ate in were very good, Toasties and the Monarch Pub and Restaurant. The rocky coast is gorgeous with walking trails along it that go for miles.
It was very easy to get around.

Awesome ocean views (especially at sunset!), great natural history museum, delicious seafood. Lovely, walkable town (love the info on the old houses saying when they were built, and who the original owner was.) Kayaking, snorkeling, bicycling, golf, butterfly viewing all easily accessible and enjoyable almost year round.
Car is recommended, although to be fair I've never tried the public transportation system.

I love all the different types of shops the downtown has to offer. There are also excellent restaurants & little spots for coffee or tea. I love that it's near the seaside & some forest areas to explore. Downtown Monterey is just a very few minutes away. It's all a very relaxing part of the world.

Pacific Grove is a beautiful coastal town with many things to do and see. Just enough of what is needed is nearby but not overdone like a gas station on every corner, etc. The Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary is an amazing experience if you visit during the monarch migration season. Thousands of monarch butterflies to see. The beaches are stunning along the coastline and Monterey is just a stones throw away which offers more adventures. You really can't go wrong with this idyllic place.
This was a fabulous place to stay! We were only here for 1 night but wished we could have stayed longer! The staff are so friendly and helpful. Our room was super - spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped. There was even a lovely complimentary bottle of wine in our room on arrival! Such a lovely gesture! The man on reception (apologies I have no name) was so welcoming and really wanted us to enjoy our stay and was genuinely interested in the next stage of our trip. A super hotel!!
Overall, the hotel ist quite nice with nice and quiet rooms, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff, etc. The rooms are very clean but there is no room service during the stay. WIFI ist good. While the breakfast was very basic, one can have it in a Covid-safe manner since they offer everything for take out and you can simply bring everything back to your room.
The pool and hot tub were nice but I wasn't completely sure how clean they were.
Comfy beds, amazing breakfast (the ladies working the kitchen were very nice too!). Shared areas were clean and relaxing and the garden was really nice for coffee or a break after exploring for the day. St. Angela is walking distance to almost everything in Pacific Grove and downtown Monterey so you can't go wrong with the location!
Such a cute place. Spacious rooms with wood fireplaces. Outdoor hottub, so bring swimsuits. Breakfast included + wine in the evenings! Close to everything in Monterey and Pacific Grove in a cute, quiet community. Lots of people walking dogs in the morning. The little touches made this a special experience. We will be returning.
This hotel is set in a beautiful rustic area. We were delighted to see some deer just wandering around when we were sitting on the porch. The hot tubs are a really lovely addition, it was so nice to come back after a day of sightseeing and jump in the bubbles. The staff were all so helpful with advice and suggestions.
Rooms are very spacious. Location is excellent out near Point Pinos Ligthouse. There are absolutely beautiful walks along the amazing Monterey coast with easy access from the hotel. Good access to very good restaurants in Pacific Grove and Monterey.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Pet friendly.
Our kitchenette suite at the Sea Breeze was a great little home away from home during our vacation. The suite was super clean and we liked the convenient parking in front. The location in beautiful Pacific Grove was great - quiet and a short walking distance to the Alisomar trail and golf course.
we stayed in a family room which was a room with a king sized bed and another with a queen bed. had a small table and chairs and balcony as well. good breakfast though it’s the same and small. easy access to Pacific Grove, Monterey, Carmel-by-the-Sea, etc. Quiet.
It was a great location near the beach. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The rooms looked to be recently remodeled with a large bathroom and easy access shower. Loved the seating areas outside our room. Also close to good restaurants in Pacific Grove.
A really old fashioned and charming hotel. Good off road parking and very pleasant and welcoming staff. Lovely dining room offering breakfast with sea views. Nice well kept garden area and lovely old fashioned walnut room which was dated but comfortable.
Great hotel. Attractive decor. Comfortable. Lovely bedroom. Nice public areas. Delicious breakfast and other treats. Enjoyed cheese and wine.
Great location.
Some of the other guests were wonderfully friendly, enhancing our stay.
It is very nice area and close to the beach. The hotel was a very cute cottages and clean. There were deer out front. A lot of good site seeing around the area and great restaurants. I would stay here again.
Location is great. Short walk to Lovers Point, downtown, and many local restaurants. Very charming hotel. Fantastic staff! The room is very charming and the bathroom and shower were nice.
The desk staff was excellent, very friendly, helpful, efficient.
We liked being in Pacific Grove, easy access to Pebble Beach—we were there for the Concours d’Elegance.
And it was clean.
One of the most comfortable hotel beds I have slept on. Location was good. Within walking distance of Monarch Grove, Lighthouse, beautiful shore trail and downtown.
