Vinh Long is a great city for tourists, as you experience local life easily. There are nearly no other tourists around, we only saw one other group on our 2 day trip. The city has great places to eat and is easy to discover by bike. The Bus station can be reached via West Bank Station in Ho Chi Minh. We were very grateful that the home stay Mekong Pottery offered organized trips and also the options to have dinner at the home stay. There was a lot of information provided on the website. The host was always present and open for answering our questions. We recommend the trips we booked via the home stay a lot! We had a great stay. The room and the outdoor bathroom are beautifully made and fit the surroundings so well. It's a little oasis for travellers.

It is a lovely place to stay for one night or two during a Mekong delta trip as there is not so much to do there. If you enjoy long walk, cycling, fishing and good food, then it is definitely worth stopping in Vinh Long on the way to Can Tho. People are really friendly and it is very relaxing there.

A wonderful breakfast is provided and I highly recommend ordering a home cooked meal from Yennie’s mom.

In contrast to the loud and hasty world around it, the Mekong Pottery homestay is a beautiful and peaceful island. The garden in front of the rooms is very beautiful. The rooms are very nice, yennie and her family are very warm-hearted hosts and the food+drinks are very delicious. We enjoyed our time. The booked bike trip was also absolutely worth the money and an outstanding experience. We also used the bikes to get downtown on our own.

The best food I had in Vietnam was cooked by Oanh. Also her sister and mother are really friendly. The location is quite remote but I really enjoyed this and you could experience real Vietnamese life. No tourists to be seen anywhere. Also the homestay is not big. There are only a maximum number of 8 people there and you can connect well with them over dinner.

The owner runs his own boat trip for 500k/p, bringing you on his boat to visit a pottery factory, a rice paper factory, a bee's farm, and a private orchard for fruits, and also includes lunch. Both meals we had were delicious, home-cooked food. We had transport arranged through the owner too.

Watch sun set into the Mekong. This place is not fancy, but it is wonderful. It has a chill vibe, beautiful grounds, and a great staff. The small extra effort to get there is so worth it. The staff coordinated our onward travel - a huge help (thanks Van!).

Nice owner and family. Area is great for biking or hiking on small roads. Pass over the bridge and take the first small road to the right and you find yourself in Mekong paradise. The hotel had free bikes, and we also much enjoyed the boat trip. Thank you for a nice stay!
