Perfect venue. Just beautiful scenery all round. Supper was amazing. Great service from the staff. When we went for supper and came back to the room, our heated blanked and put on. I thought that was a nice touch, since it was a really cold weekend.

The chalets generally look neat and well built but require furniture upgrades as it is dated... the couch was completely shot and creaked.
The location is super convenient to get to.

It offers a great variety of interesting activities and wide range of accomodation. I will surely repeat the visit and spend a day or two in different locations to explore the area more. I was able to see giraffes and other game.

Misty Hills Country Hotel is a wonderful place to stay.
Misty Hills Country Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The thatched-roof bungalos are spaceous with lovely interior décor and furniture, and are laid out along many winding brick paths in a lush tropical setting with flowers, shrubs, and trees, some with botanical labels on them. Along the paths are many splendid African art carvings, statues, small flowing brooks, ponds, and beautiful scenic views. The grounds have been meticulously planned and laid out, as have the rooms and buildings on the many acres in this resort. Each room, dining area, meeting room, and the reception area are adorned with African art—sculptures, paintings, and historic artefacts/memorabilia, with windows that look out in to the tropical gardens and trees. The service is first class. The accompanying huge breakfast buffet has dozens of choices of fresh fruit, warm and cold meats, special dishes, cheeses, cereals, and pastries, with several people ready to cook any personal preference you have, as well as table service in the large dining hall with its African motif surrounding you. Of course, the world-renowned Carnivore restaurant is on the Misty Hills grounds and is a real treat for those who enjoy a meal of game in a festive setting with meat delivered to your table on large skewers. There is also a nice dining room with a good lunch and dinner menu adjacent to the reception area. In every way, this hotel is great and a wonderful experience; we’re from Canada and have returned every time we’re in the Johannesburg area.

The scenery is lovely and so was breakfast- although no cappuccino. I feel they deliberately did not include pictures of the bathroom as had I known it was a shower over the bath, I would not have stayed there.

I enjoyed my weekend , my partner took me to the best places and we had fun with activities that we did. It was easy to get around and we just felt that we need more time to finish off the activities that we did not do, so definitely coming back to finish off what we started.
Nothing went well. The room had spider webs all over and the bed had red worms and termites all around. We didn't stay for even 2 hours and checked out instantly. The staff wasn't supportive and didn't provide any solution for the same. They just started showing the non-refundable policy of the hotel. I was really looking forward to staying here and hence, I booked it for two days. We didn't get the refund still we checked out without thinking of money as health is more important
My husband and I notice little details when we go away, like cleanliness in the corners of our room/bathroom, clean drinking glasses and if the hotel/B&B refreshes your coffee/tea/milk/towels etc. in your rooms daily. 26 South didn't dissapoint! An incredible stay, lovely staff and a huge breakfast selection (not forgetting the incredible a la carte menu-whoever the chefs are, thank you! ). We will definitely be visiting again soon.
The welcoming when we arrived was very friendly and Bev took us through every room.
The view was spectacular and there is so much to do in the surrounding area. She was very helpful regarding service and all the rooms were very neat and had everything you need and more regarding self catering accommodation.
Will definitely recommend to others!!!
Breakfast - Fantastic and tasty Breakfast Buffet.
View and Surroundings - Breath Taking view of the surrounding mountains as the Hotel is in a valley. We took a short hike around the hotel and watched the sun set - it was spectacular!
Family Room picnic - was delicious and plentiful! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
You're kitchen staff is AMAZING! A shuttle service between you and town once a day or your sister hotel would be nice. We wanted to stay there one night after the balloon experience.
Your food is below par, but, you will see us again when I need to visit johannesburg again!
The staff at the restaurant were so friendly and the views on the restaurant balcony are lovely. The room size is quite big but with minimal seating options. The patio area was a please stay. The bed is comfortable. Nice size bathroom with bath and shower.
Very good value for money. Old hotel which dates back a good few years but very well run and neat and clean. We used it as a base for doing cradle activities including a balloon ride. We would happily return.
Risa House far exceeded our expectations. I piece of heaven in the middle of muldersdrift. We will definitely book in when we visit family again! Perhaps for a little longer next time!
Proximity to Pretoria and Johannesburg. Beautiful, lush environment. Clean facilities and great food. Some of the stuff members were excellent. We felt very safe whilst at the hotel.
The hotel was absolutely lovely. We stayed in the most beautiful room. The highlight was definitely Sonja who managed our stay and who made some of the best scones we've ever had.
This is a beautiful place, the staff were amazing the are always willing to help. A great quiet getaway from the buzzing Johannesburg. beautiful venue for functions too.
