Very nicely renovated old cottage close to town but rustic. Adorable friendly dogs and two peacocks. Lovely touches; with a nod to the fact that her property was formerly an equestrian center. Well equipped kitchen. Toiletries, dish soap, spices etc. provided. There is another larger house on the same property. We found that once the other guests checked into that property that our Wi-fi became more sporadic. We also lost hot water one day and when we contacted the owner to ask (she did not reach out to us) it turned out that the other guests has somehow turned off the hot water supply. No TV which is fine with us but may be a negative for some. The bathroom especially the shower would be a problem for a plus-size individual and the property is definitely not suitable if you’re mobility challenged. The owner is very friendly and laid back but available as needed. She provided the EIR code location (we had never heard of this, being from the US).

This is a little piece of heaven, the location is perfect and the property is outstanding. The attention to detail is wonderful and the hospitality from Val and Eilish is second to none. Many thanks for the welcome basket, it was very much appreciated. I would highly recommend The Belfry and cannot wait to make a return visit.
