We were warmly welcomed and the place is loved by adults as well as children. Asanka's wife Sadamali prepared our dinner and it was the best meal we had in Sri Lanka. The hotel arranged the safari. The jeep driver who provides excellent service is the best guide. The sound of the river is like a bavana throughout the night. Love it.

The Makulu camp is definetely a hidden gem! We had an extraordinary stay at their place - the staff was great, offerinh so many things to do snd helped us organizing everything regarding transport, the safari etc. The super romantic bonfire dinner in the middle of the djungle at night was a highlight we are lucky to have experienced.

We took a safari with them and it was great. Totally recommend it

The chief at the restaurant was super good, I wasn’t able to find anyone in Sri Lanka who could satisfy my food needs like this place. staff entirely were very friendly and makes you feel like home. It was one of my best moments in Sri Lanka

Steps from Udawalawe National Park, Kottawatta Village offers a peaceful and scenic getaway from the city and night camping. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. The on-site Rose Restaurant serves Western, Chinese and Sri Lankan food. I was moved to a diffrent resort owned but the same company just a few minutes away but that didn't affect anything. Honestly, I had an amazing time. The place was very luxurious for the cheap price I paid. The whole place was stunning! Outdoor bathroom gave a really relaxed atmosphere. Staff were very helpful. Food was delicious. Zero complaints at all. Would definitely be back again! Thank you!

International and traditional Sri Lankan dishes are served by the chef on demand, at the main restaurant. Athgira River Camping offers a great outdoor dining experience as well as a barbecue dinner and cooking demonstrations. Real wild cocktails and a nice wine selection are available as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the pool area was nice. They arranged the safari to Udawalawe National Park. The driver took us around the park.

Free private parking is available on site. Clean, nice tents. Jungle river at the cam, you can easily swim there with monkeys above your head. On top, great hospitality and service, great food.

Barbecue dinner is provided around a campfire. Free WiFi is available in the public areas of the property. Solomon was a fantastic guide and made the stay extra special for us both.
