Cleanliness and location, in that order. Brightwater is a fabulous self catering guest house, run by two fabulous people, in terms of the communications I received from them. The bedroom and shared facilities of kitchen and bathroom are faultless. They are clean, well marked with what facility belongs to your room (ie., fridge) and have everything one needs for a stay. This was excellent for me. A large double bed with fresh linen, decent sized TV and heaps of cupboard and drawer space in the room. Further, the water in the bath/shower was always hot and the whole place was warm and cosy with radiators on in the mornings. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking neals - and, again, extremely clean. I was on a journey from Australia to see friends in the UK. Sheila and William were excellent in their communications with me. Cannot rate Brightwater highly enough. Thanks Lovely People 😀

Beautiful location. Friendly and relaxed hosts Paula and Tony made us feel so welcome. Lovely room spotlessly clean and thoughtful little touches that make a big difference. Breakfast amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would most definitely come back. Many thanks Paul and Tony.

Paul and David are fantastic hosts! Friendly, cheerful. Really made me feel welcome. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Plenty of space for hanging clothes. Breakfast was delicious, plentiful and perfectly cooked. The location is great. A couple of minutes walk from Peasholm Park, and about 15 minutes walk from the station. A short walk through the park to reach the promenade. A lovely seating area outside at the front. Perfect for the early morning coffee. I will definitely be returning.

Room was exactly as advertised, no surprises. Beautiful, clean and bright. Host were very helpful. Close to beach and restaurants. Great sleep. Family room with extra bedroom , perfect. One of my favs this trip.
