The Royal Albert Hall is emblematic of civic culture.

The Royal Albert Hall is emblematic of civic culture. A gathering place for spirits, minds and bodies, it hosts a wide range of cultural and social events, having served as backdrop for important historical events as well, and even a tennis match. It's yearly highlight is the BBC Proms, which showcase the best and the new of symphonic music.

Please note - because it isn't made obvious on their booking site - that children under 14 are not allowed to sit individually. I had been issued with one 'separate' ticket for a Prom - bought directly on their site - but we were swiftly re-seated together, when they realised the problem and were very apologetic. Relaxed performances are an excellent way to introduce youngsters to a wide range of music, and to allow for them to get enthusiastic.

We loved visiting the theatre for a show. The seat were comfortable and a lovely clean theatre with helpful staff. The drinks were slow during breaks but staff were nice and pleasant. Reasonable priced.

This theater I guess was a great place back then when it was built, they theater is not well maintained, I have attended 4 Cirque de Soliel shows and 3 Christmas shows and I can’t get more disappointed with every visit, the pungent smell in the hallways is horrible, as you pass by the toilets the urine smell can be strongly detected, another main issue is the low quality metallic seats in the theater itself with every body move you can hear the cranky rusty sound of these chairs. This place can definitely benefit from major renovation works, I am confident it will be a stunning theater.

    An amazing place to visit.

An amazing place to visit. We saw a classical spectacular, an amazing experience. Get a box for 8 people and fill it with friends and family so you have a bit more space and freedom to enjoy your musical experience and share the cost between 8.

    - convenient location to an underground location - walkable distance to the natural history museum and Royal albert hall - tea/coffee making facilities - fan provided within room upon arrival (it was extremely hot when I stayed) - room size adequate for one person - compared to prices of alternative accommodation nearby, this was value for money.

The staff were excellent. So helpful. We liked the general ambiance of the hotel. It was very well placed for access to the Royal Albert Hall where we were going for a concert and very near the underground station. The Indian restaurant was superb. Liked having an iron and board.

Attending concerts at Royal Albert Hall - hotel was only a few minutes walk - great location. Travelled from LHR via tube to Gloucester Road - a short walk away so was easy to get to. Stayed here before for similar events. Staff were very nice and enjoyed breakfast each morning. Would certainly stay here again.

The room was very comfortable and well provided for. We had our dog with us and the staff were fantastically helpful and welcoming. They parked the car for us and organised a 'dog sitter' who was excellent. The food was great. We chose this hotel because we were staying for our sons graduation at the Royal Albert Hall which was very close by and the hotel is directly opposite Hyde Park which was perfect for pleaseant walks for us and the dog.

Location of the hotel. Modern, clean room, tea & coffee facilities in room, air conditioner, safe provided. Great shower, toiletries provided. We walked everywhere during our visit e.g. Kensington Garden, V&A Museum, The Royal Albert Hall, Portobello Markets but the bus/taxi/tube were available close by. Some nice pubs and eating places close by too.
